Without the two 5-minute a game forwards in the lineup (Grigo, Scott), we are able to roll four lines. I'm a big fan of that strategy. When you roll four, fatigue becomes less of a factor defensively.

Thank you for being a voice of reason. Grigo isn't playing because he isn't ready. No point in leaving him up with the big club to sit the bench or be a healthy scratch when we need the roster spot with Leino coming back. He'll now have one additional year before becoming a UFA. He got a bit of experience with the big club. And, it heightens the possibility of making a move for a center before the deadline. I think Darcy did the right thing today.

Goose is always injured and the Preds have some good young center prospects down on the farm in Milwaukee. Mike Latta will find his way onto the Preds 4th line sooner rather than later and Austin Watson will be up in the next year or two if they can find room for him. Taylor Beck is a really nice prospect for the Preds too at Right Wing.

That is a shame. Only 25 years old. He fractured his skull after hitting the ice (after a hip check) and was not able to recover. 3rd generation NHLer, and the only NHL player ever from the state of Tennessee. I met him once - really nice kid.

Penalty boxes are overflowing in the Preds - Stars game. A rare power play brawl... Preds were on the power play and when the whistle went, three different fights broke out (Fisher beat up Robidas pretty good). Some nasty hockey in this game!
