  1. Anyone hear/know why Leino is really out? "Upper body injury" isn't very informative.
  2. Interference + a dive. So it evens up. I actually like the refs trying to get rid of the soccer-like dives.
  3. Thornton looks like he doesn't want to get knocked out by Scott again...
  4. I'm certain guys are drawing boarding calls on purpose these days.
  5. Scott camped out right in front of the B's net. No one could move him. Maybe he should be out there on our power play... :P
  6. Looks like bad ice in Hockey Heaven once again tonight...
  7. What's the over/under on John Scott shifts before he gets into a fight? Two?
  8. WADR, I think this board pretty much reflect the above. All negative, all the time. Folks abandoned the team weeks ago. From my perspective you keep fighting until you are eliminated from playoff contention. We're 3 points back of the Isles and Rangers right now. Sure it doesn't look good, but anything is possible. Draft picks are years away from helping in most cases and they guarantee nothing (see Columbus, Edmonton, etc.). And who is to say, for example, the 8th pick doesn't turn out to be a Hall of Famer while the 2nd pick is a complete dud.
  9. Sabres open for business: http://www.thefourth.../buf130331.html (nothing too shocking in this article)
  10. I also think Darcy wants to keep Regehr. We handed Brennan to Florida for nothing then traded Leo to the Blues. If we trade Regehr that'd be three defensemen gone in a short period of time and we'd be short a defenseman on the roster and would need to call up someone (Pardy?). My thought is if Darcy knew he'd be trading Regehr and Leo then why would he let Brennan walk for little-to-no return? Or is he just that poor at thinking through his roster strategy?
  11. The only difference as I see it is Miller is much better in shootouts than Enroth (which matters given the NHL's strange skills competition to decide tie games). But Enroth at $675k versus Miller at $6.25 million? No doubt Jhonas is a far better value right now.
  12. He is arguably the softest player on this team and if we are to change the culture of this organization then moving Pommer (and maybe Miller too) is a good way to move in that direction.
  13. Seems some of the blown lead problem is tactical... we pack it in defensively and don't even attempt to mount a counterattack. You let the other team pepper your goal with shots, eventually one will find its way into the net.
  14. Our passing, especially from our defensemen, is just brutal...
  15. Just get the puck out of the zone. Frustrating that we get possession, but can't clear our zone. :censored:
  16. Ah, yes. That was a great game. Vanek won that one by himself.
  17. Leino - Stafford - Ennis has been a good line all night.
