I was surprised to learn that Porter is a former Hobey Baker winner. Darcy loves those guys. Miller won it. Leo won it. Drury won it.

I agree that making a "big-3" move now might actually capture a better return. Traditionally, the summer has been the proper time for "blockbuster" trades... but, the market will be quite different this summer compared to years past due to the cap going down by $6 million next year. So it isn't clear that waiting is necessarily a better strategy given the diminished buying power teams will have this summer.

Our "fearless" $5.3 million captain over the last two months combined (Feb + March) has all of 11 points in those 29 games. That is pathetic for a supposed "top line" player. Pommer is as much a part of the problem as any other player on this roster... maybe more-so since he makes a ton, is one of the softest players in the league, and wears the "C."

15 games played in the month of March: 5 wins 5 regulation losses 5 overtime losses

Vanek has almost 1/2 of our power play goals as a team and he has missed, what, 7 games? No one can score on this team on the power play without the help of Vanek.

He was really bad last game too. He's as hot and cold as they come IMHO. Some games he is great and others he just frustrates the crap out of you.

Ott has to shoot that instead of passing to a defenseman.

Coach Ted Danson seems to be doing the Lindy line shuffling so far in this one. Without Vanek and Leino... and with Pommer's continued slump (where has he been the past month or two?), we don't have a lot of scoring firepower.
