Murray: "I don't want a 5 year rebuild" http://prohockeytalk...e-year-rebuild/ http://espn.go.com/blog/nhl/post/_/id/28873/will-sabres-rebuild-include-ryan-miller -
:D Just got this email from my neighbor... "Hey <name removed for anonymity reasons>! I have a TON of open bottles... Feel free to stop by and grab some tonight if you want!"

Just moved into my new home (finally) and my new neighbor is a liquor and wine wholesaler. She has hundreds of cases of top shelf stuff in her home and can get me anything I want at cost. ...I've already apologized to my liver for what I'm about to do to it...

My phone? ;)

Ah, then it makes sense. The Preds tried to switch Jones to the left side early in the year so that he could pair with Weber, but that didn't really work. So they pretty much needed to make this move.

Kleiner is a bit of a fan favorite here in Nashville, so fans down here might not like this trade. Klein is a very solid d-man. The reason for doing this from the Preds standpoint is simple. Weber, Klein, and Jones are all natural right-side defensemen. When Seth Jones fell to Nashville in the draft it made moving Klein an option. Del Zotto plays the left side. So this gives the Preds Weber & Josi, and Jones & Del Zotto as their top two pairs - all playing their natural side. Not sure why the move from the Rangers standpoint... Del Zotto a bit of an underachiever, I guess...

Good call. Send anyone down who can go down to the farm.

I was at this game last night... pretty good fight. I love the announcer's description of the fight: "feeding him the meat candy." :D

From the Preds perspective this is a very good trade. Pekka Rinne's hip hasn't responded and he won't be back any time soon. And, the goaltending from Hutton and Mazanec in Pekka's absence has been awful. Soft goals all over the place and not a single shootout win. Dubnyk is no all-star, but he is better than what the Preds have. And, Hendricks is a tough SOB but is nothing more than a good character 4th line role player.

Grigo No Go Go? WADR, I'm pretty sure the coaching staff that watches him day-in-and-day-out has a better idea of whether he is ready for the NHL than us message board posters. No coach with an "interim" label can afford to lose games on purpose. Teddy clearly thinks Grigo isn't ready to help the team win yet and I trust that is the case. -

It is hard not to immediately like anyone not named Darcy as the choice. Since (almost) all of us know very little about the candidates, I'll trust that LaFontaine and Pegula took their time and made the best possible choice with the information they had to work with. Would love to see Murray make some bold moves right out of the gate, which would immediately put his stamp on the club. -
My newly built home has a tankless water heater... wish I could move in and experience it, but the builder is months behind schedule to the point where I've hit the deadline to be out of my current townhome, which was sold. So I have to move everything - all of my furniture and belongings - into storage tomorrow and live in a hotel until my new home is ready. Had to get a P.O. Box for my mail since I will be homeless. Expensive. Inconvenient. Lawyers involved. Not... happy...
