  1. Halak to the Wild is the latest twitter rumor.
  2. This thread is basically a bunch of cut-and-paste tweets followed by rampant (over?)reaction by everyone. :D
  3. Some more random rumor-mongering: http://www.thefourthperiod.com/news/buf140227.html
  4. Supposedly The Hoff has submitted his list of 8 teams... (per ESPN)
  5. I agree with both of the last two posts. We're still way back and the teams ahead of us are playing better as of late. And, without Miller alone we're sure to play like ###### the next 20 games. At worst, we'll draft 3rd but it is highly likely we'll pick 1st or 2nd.
  6. I think it is pretty clear we got our top pair defensemen in last year's draft. We'll almost certainly go forward in this draft (although I'm generally a fan of "best available" since the team can look very different in 3-4 years when these guys are ready to contribute).
  7. Enroth gets a win and Weber posted a +1 game... and Ville has two assists... Something is wrong with the Universe...
  8. We'll lose in Overtime since Enroth is incapable of winning.
  9. Yeah, Strader is great. I too like him better than Doc.
  10. Was traveling and got in just in time to see Lucic and his big pickle nose score.
  11. Makes sense. No team would give up a top-8 pick now for a future unknown pick. Doing so would in some sense be a message to fans that you expect to suck next year too!
  12. Yep, these aren't Murray's "guys." So he doesn't feel any undue pressure to keep certain guys. On another note, amid all of the doom and gloom and "trade everyone over 30" sentiment, we already are ranked #2 in the NHL in terms of present prospects in our system according to Hockey's Future: http://www.hockeysfu.../team-rankings/ We will, of course, add a top-3 pick to that group this year and have a pile of future picks on the way. So, I think Murray is right in wanting some young veterans as a return in our upcoming trade-athon.
  13. Seriously. We've been dealing with the "might be his last game" stuff since last trade deadline. I'm just happy that we now (appear to) have a competent hockey department who might actually get a solid return for him.
  14. This sounds reasonable to me. I watch the Blues a lot since they're in the Preds division. And, I honestly think the Blues can win the Cup this year with some luck and the sort of goaltending that Miller can provide... BTW - Ryan knows quite a few of the guys on that team such as his USA teammates Oshie, Backes, and Shattenkirk and former Sabre teammates Roy and Leo.
  15. John Vogl‏@BuffNewsVogl5m Miller on Sabres talking trade: 'That's probably best for everybody' (includes audio) http://bit.ly/OAKmdn
  16. I'm good with dealing Ott and Miller at the deadline. I've always hoped we hold onto Moulson since we simply need guys who can put pucks in the net and he has proven he can do that. I hope we clear out a defenseman or two at the deadline as well. We need to clear some room for guys like Pysyk, McNabb, and Risto.
  17. Interesting that the dirty word filter won't allow Semin (spelled with an "e" instead of an "i") But, penis makes it through the dirty word filter.
  18. Goal by ######? (intentionally misspelled)
  19. Shots on goal are 31-12 in favor of the Canes?
  20. His heart isn't in losing every night. Can't blame him. ...he is a good player on a team full of Darcy specials.
  21. Two out of every three goals the Sabres have scored this year The Hoff was on the ice. In other words, we basically never score when he isn't out there. Yet, The Hoff is a guy everyone wants to run off...
