    This trade basically just tells me Murray isn't that high on McNabb. We had a log jam of defense prospects, so no big deal. Hopefully Fasching turns into a player down the road. If so then good trade.

    We have cap space to sign almost anyone we want. Without Miller and assuming Leino is bought out, we'll struggle just to hit the cap floor next year. Throw some $$$ at MattyMo. He has earned it.

    Most of the time Darcy would make one token move that did nothing for the team. Then he would lecture everyone how hard it is to make trades in the NHL. Ugh. So glad he is gone.

    Trading Luongo is an interesting move given the Canucks are in the playoff hunt. But, Luongo hasn't been playing well, so it probably helps them.

    Great trade by Minnesota. They only gave up a 4th to get a veteran backup goaltender.

    We've acquired 16 1st/2nd round picks from the 2013 (last year) to 2015 drafts! ...and we're interested in getting more?! Stockpiling high draft picks is great, but there has to be a satiation point. I can only hope that the plan is to bundle lower picks to move up in these next two drafts.

    My personal philosophy is there is nothing wrong with undersized forwards, per se, but if you're going to be a smaller forward you better have world class offensive talent. Little guys who score a lot are fine (Ennis on our current team), but little guys who don't score (Conacher this year) are a liability.

    I agree. Great locker room guy. Is one of relatively few guys who can consistently score goals in this league. Is an elite power play goal scorer. Is only 30 years old. Why not take a shot at signing him long-term? We already have an absurd number of picks and prospects. It'd be nice to keep at least a couple of guys who can actually play the game at a high level...

    MattyMo is one of the few guys I hope we re-sign. Consistent goal scorers are hard to come by in this league. That said, some team will get desparate come Wednesday and overpay for him.
