Down here in Nashville there are a couple of douchebags who blow duck calls at certain times throughout the games... I finally realized what they were doing... Whenever Goose is on the ice these guys quack away with their duck calls. Goose... duck... whatevah....

Some positives: We have an uber-rich owner who doesn't mind front-loading cash laden contracts We have a ton of cap space to throw money at guys We have a ton of prospects and draft picks, which bodes well for the team's future We have some good young players already We have a coach who guys really love playing for While the city of Buffalo might be a tough sell for NFL free agents, there are quite a few hockey players from nearby in Southern Ontario and WNY. It's actually a pretty desirable location for many hockey players. In Tim Murry we trust!

Stafford has been much better under Nolan too.

Game called off in Dallas. Got mixed feelings about the decision to cancel it. Maybe the condition of Peverly is worse than we think.

Wow, really eerie scene in Dallas. Both teams off the ice. The arena is dead silent. I have the Stars broadcast on and it is dead silent. Not a word by the announcers. Really bad.

I like the way you think. We may not have much talent, but our boys certainly play hard for Ted.

McBain is a pending RFA and Sulzer is a UFA. At least one if not both need to be gone next year. My preference would be to dump both, bring up Pysyk to take one spot and sign a veteran UFA defenseman for the other spot. The latter move would buy a couple of years for Risto and Zadorov to develop.

The Weber - McBain pairing that was used for a while was a freaking disaster.

Conacher and Ennis definitely created some excitement with their speed and creativity. Need a big RW to go with those two little guys. Stewart might have been a nice fit with those two, but obviously he is out for a while. Rough game for D'Agostini. I'm not sure there is a spot for the guy next year. He plays hard, but we have better options coming up through the system (e.g., Deslauriers might be a keeper). Ville is just a league-wide embarrassment at this point. No point in piling on further. But, if he isn't bought out this summer then there is something very, very wrong in Sabre-land. Since I've been riding him all year I have to give credit where credit is due: Weber is a +7 since the break and doesn't have a single minus game over that span.
