I assume it has been mentioned somewhere on this board, but Tampa picked up an extra first round pick with the Rangers making it all the way to the conference final (Marty St. Louis trade). I think that Habs will beat the Rangers.

If you're small you have to be highly skilled and obviously Kane is just that. I think Trotz wants the Vancouver job because he is from near there, but he is sitting back and talking to a lot of teams, which is smart. He's already met with several (Florida, Carolina, etc.). Pittsburgh could win a Cup with a guy like Trotz behind the bench.

The Bills picked up one of my favorite college players as an undrafted free agent: Vanderbilt safety Kenny Ladler. He can play. I hope he makes the team or at least the practice squad.

I'm finding it a little annoying that some folks above don't recognize the skill level of Draisaitl. Kid had the exact same number of points as Reinhart in the same league (WHL) and had more goals. Statements like "we need skill" implies that Leon isn't highly skilled and that's just plain false.

I don't trust Brown. Anyone who follows college football recruiting knows Brown was the #1 overall recruit in the nation coming out of high school in Wichita. The landscape of college football recruiting is pretty shady for guys like that ($$$) and he went to Tenne$$ee. Left there after not even a year. Went to K-State, but did the same. Now the Eagles give up on him after only 2 years. Something just doesn't see right about the guy, although the talent is there.

Eagles RB Bryce Brown was just traded to the Bills. On another note, I rarely listen to WGR, but I'm pretty disgusted by the draft coverage. These guys don't even know who Bryce Brown is and when picks are made they're basically just Goggling the player and reading word-for-word what sites like CBS have on the player. They don't know who any of these guys are... so how can they knowledgeably discuss them?
