Are you serious? The guy has 12 playoff goals, which leads the league by a wide margin. He hasn't played a lot of playoff games, but has always done well with the Rangers and Wild.
This all reminds me of the NBA combine in 2007 when Kevin Durant was the only guy out of all the invitees who couldn't do a single bench press rep at 185. The press went crazy and people started calling Durant a sure-fire bust.
Durant, of course, was NBA MVP this year...
I think it may have simply been a matter of one team being deep with defensemen and another being deep with forwards. The Kings needed some insurance on the back-end.
Yeah, I was (toxic gas)Sabre for a while. Then I thought I'd switch to "I can count to potato" Sabre. But, that was too long. So then I figured just plain ol' Potato would do since EdibleTuberSabre was too weird.
He looks great tonight. IMHO, that's why he is such a frustrating player. He'll sleepwalk through entire games with little-to-no effort, then will dominate others.
No tattoos, no piercings, no jewelry, no brand logos, etc. for me. It is difficult/impossible to avoid acts of symbolic self-completion (see symbolic self-completion theory), but this is what I strive for.
Makarov went 7-3 and posted a .927 save % in his 10 AHL starts versus the AHL average % of .910. And, Ullmark led the Swedish league in save % as a 20 year old (2.08 GAA, .931 save %). He was voted Swedish goaltender of the year.
Some speculation that Knapp is a goner and Hackett (or Neuvirth or Enroth) will be on the move... http://www.hockeybuz...racts/163/60291
Personally, I like that we have 4 or 5 guys who could viably be the #1 goaltender for the Sabres in the near future. Good to have that sort of competition in the system.
This series is full of douchebaggery. Running goalies, cheap shot interference hits,... In contrast, the Kings and Hawks have played a remarkably clean series.
Why would he sign for a year knowing he was going to be pushed out? Better to part ways with Hackett and have Makarov and Lieuwen in Rochester next year.
