  1. Foligno just biffed that one.
  2. We're outshooting an opponent. Has that happened all year? I don't think so.
  3. Weber and Meszaros are each a +2. The planets must be out of alignment or something.
  4. Points from 8 different players tonight. Pretty rare. Drew is the only one with multiple points (2).
  5. Oh, yeah! Stafford might be in one of his scoring streaks! Nice feed from Deslauriers.
  6. http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/puck-daddy/p-k--subban-farts-in-front-of-goalies-for-competitive-advantage-220956750.html
  7. Power play strategy: put the farty guy in front of Reimer.
  8. 14 shots and 2 goals in the first period. What has gotten into this team?
  9. I can't stop farting.
  10. Leaves. 2 minutes for cheating. (some of you guys are watching on a delay it seems)
  11. Another assist from Strachan.
  12. Goal! Girgs! 2 goal lead! Stupid play by Reimer.
  13. It was pretty bad for the first minute. Mess-zaros and Big Tyler don't move the puck well from the points.
  14. 'muricah 1. Canada 0.
  15. Ennis! Goal!
  16. Our power play has absolutely no flow to it.
  17. Clarkson. 2 minutes for cheating.
  18. Noy-virt. Great save.
  19. Good news ...we're not losing yet.
  20. Gotta be 70% Leaves fans in the arena.
  21. Is that the best anthem singer they could find?
  22. We need to win this one for 'muricah.
  23. F the Leaves. That is all.
  24. When I evaluate any player I always ask: "is this the kind of player you see on Cup winning teams?" I have always made a delineation between "regular season players" and "post-season players." Plenty of guys can succeed in the regular season, but when the game turns into a war as it tends to in the playoffs, some guys rise to the challenge and some wilt under the pressure. My long-running criticism of Pommer was that I put him into the "regular season player" category. A guy who can get you there, but can't carry you to the Cup (debatable, of course, but that was my perception). In Gus' case I see him as a guy you can win a Cup with. He has the tenacity to give 100% on every shift and has the ability to score "dirty goals" of the sort that are prevalent in the playoffs. And, he is already a solid two-way player at a young age. And, if the goal is a Cup and not just making the playoffs, then Gus is the sort of player we need. Unfortunately, it looks like it'll be a long time before we know what sort of playoff player he is!
  25. Now you can have this song stuck in your head too. It's just so 80's! http://youtu.be/IGVZOLV9SPo
