    Was at the Preds - Panthers game tonight so I just watched the Sabres game via DVR. Pretty even game, but nice to get a hard fought win. 3 in a row, eh? (BTW - after watching them live, I think the Panthers might have the worst group of forwards in the league)

    I got tickets to Vanderbilt's home opener against Temple for $4 each. 50 yard line. 20 rows up. Ridiculous. But, once basketball season rolls around... ...Professor Smith is my idol!

    I've been living with non-stop crazy, temper tantrums and extreme acts of selfishness for so long I've forgotten what "normal" is. But divorce sucks. Stuck between two bad outcomes. :angry: <end of rant>

    So my soon-to-be ex-wife takes everything in my night stand (two dressers, two night stands, one for each of us) and gets rid of it, replacing it with her stuff. Items I've had for 10 or 20 years are now gone. My clock radio - gone. My lamp - gone. Her argument was something along the lines of "I needed more space for my stuff" and "I didn't see you using these things." Am I wrong to be livid? :angry:

    The Kings have show that you don't need a Crosby (or McDavid) to win the Cup. If we don't get McDavid or Eichel, the sky isn't falling. We still have 3 first rounders in a really deep draft on the way (to go with all the other 1st and 2nd rounders we've amassed over the past few years).

    Leafs having given up 14 over their last 2 games. They had something like 35 turnovers through 2 periods. Switched goalies tonight and it didn't matter one bit. Oof.

    Biebs is used by the Leafs for in-arena promos... telling the fans to "get loud" (while standing next to Phaneuf). I just find that amusing for no particular reason.

    Nice. The Maple Laffs are a hot mess. And, as a Preds STH this makes me happy. Derek Roy got his first as a Pred BTW.

    It's just as loud in the arena as it always is. 16000 sitting quiet sounds the same as 4000 sitting quiet. :angel: His rights are owned by the KHL. No way the Sabres want to deal with that mess, so 100% he stays.

    That kid in net for the Sharks has let in 3 of 10. Weber, Myers, and Risto all with assists. Good to see our d-men getting on the score sheet more as of late.

    Since Gionta scored a (weak) goal, the only other forward without one on the season is McCormick (excluding guys who have only played a limited number of games).

    The NHL GM meetings start Tuesday in Toronto. Expect the trade talk to heat up this week. I think the Gorges injury might put the Myers trade talk on the back-burner for now, but we have two free agent-to-be wingers who teams will want: Stewart and Stafford. Stewart will probably come cheaper than Stafford, so I think he might be the first to be moved. Will Murray make a move this early? Darcy wouldn't, but I think GMTM would if the right deal came along.
