Larsson has been pretty bad the past few games. With what we have coming up through the system the next few years, he might be playing himself out of a job.

Neuvirth has had a problem all year with rebound control. It definitely cost him on that last goal.

I didn't watch the game, but 8 penalties?

There is a fine line between "aggressive" and "reckless."

Now the Oilers need to trade for Cal Clutterbuck.

Colonel Klinkhammer has the same number of points on the year as Cody Hodgson.

Balls has a low cap number (only $800k), which gives him some value to other teams as a cheap insurance policy. The Mess on the other hand at $4.125 million per would clear waivers all day every day!

I don't like the idea of relying on figures from yesteryear. Look forward, Terry. Take a chance on someone new.

I don't see what the big deal is. Polian is 72 and his statement about not wanting to preside over a complete overhaul of the team and staff (at that age) makes a ton of sense. Polian was great for Buffalo in the late 80's. But, better to invent the future than try to relive the past.

6 points on the year. 6.

Our zone entries are horrid. We can't even get set up on the power play. ...and Barberio is a great name.

Stewart has has been much better of late. He has points in 5 straight games and 6 of 7. Why all the dislike for his game now?
-
I agree with this take. I actually think Stafford is better than people give him credit for. He's played well this year (second on team in points per game) and has got more trade value than people think. Stewart is bigger and more physical and drives the net hard when he is motivated... the question is can he stay motivated... I wouldn't mind if either Stafford or Stewart was resigned. We need some veterans around. We can't have a team of all kids (see Edmonton).

Maybe we can slip a few past Vaselineski...

The Kings were on the second game of road back-to-backs and have several sick players (flu). :) (They outshot Edmonton 15-1 in the 3rd)

As one of the few on this forum who watched Roy play live on several occasions this year, he isn't a bad player. He just got caught up in a numbers game on a very deep team (Preds). I think the days of smallish centers in the NHL are numbered - with a few exceptions, of course. Roy is probably best off at wing at this point. But he can give you power play and/or penalty kill minutes and is still a pretty good assist guy. He has value somewhere in the league.

I figure one of the young guys (Ullmark, Makarov, Liewen, Johansson) will separate himself from the group. And, Enroth and Neuvirth are both young. Someone has to be the odd man out. I figure that is Hackett at current.
-
I sort of don't care much about Hackett. I don't think he has a future with this club given the number of goaltending prospects we have.

Not having Risto and Myers obviously hurt in this one. ...and our zone entries were terrible for the most part.

Chicago - Nashville game is a great one so far. Two best teams in the league going toe-to-toe in Chicago. 4-3 Nashville toward the end of the 2nd.
-
They've been really bad in this game. Both are a -3.
-
Ugh. We're leaving guys open in front of the net left-and-right.
-
That's a pretty questionable call on Stewart. Pretty questionable.
-
He took the blount of it? Nice call, Rayzer.
