So I am watching the Preds - Blues game... and about half way through the first I swear I heard some sort of porn audio behind the call from announcer Pete Weber. Went on for several minutes. Seriously. I thought I was crazy, but I checked twitter and a bunch of other people heard it too! Somehow the game audio to the game got interspersed with some sort of porn audio?! WTF? They had back-to-back-to-back #1 overall picks in Quebec and traded all of them (Lindros, Owen Nolan, and Mats Sundin) prior to finally winning a Cup in '96. (there are many possible routes to winning a Cup)

Scoring is already a big problem and will get worse when the 3rd and 4th leading goal scorers on the team are sold. No way this team doesn't finish last.

Half a season out is far too early to worry about each individual game outcome. This team is at little risk of not finishing at the bottom, especially when Murray starts selling the veterans in a month. Personally, I hope the Sabres' youngsters really start to show something during the second half of the season.

We all hate him, but he is arguably the best coach in the league.

The Preds made the heroic run to 9th place last year that so many on here whine about. And, missed the playoffs the year before. Instead of selling everyone, they got a new coach, made a couple of great free agent moves and a trade (Hornquist for James Neal) and now are the best team in the league. As a season ticket holder, I'm glad David Poile never gave a thought to losing on purpose to better draft position. I can't help but think Karma will catch up with the Sabres for this strategy (which is clearly being pushed by the top of the organization).

4-1 now. And, still zero wins in 2015.

I'm a fan of Stewart because of his versatility. He is big, fast, hits, fights, can score a bit. I just like guys who can still contribute if they are not pitching in offensive. Stewart is that. Hodgson is not that.

He's taken a lot of flack on this forum over the years... but he isn't as terrible as a lot of guys on the current roster (see Hodgson, Cody).

We're not losing going into the third. ...Moral victory!

With Erik "Guitar Master" Johnson out for a month or more, expect the Tyler Myers to Colorado rumors to be hot and heavy.

The Forsberg trade was ridiculously one sided, obviously. And, Poile made arguably the best free agent signing of any team by signing Mike Ribero (39 points) for only $1.05 million and pairing him with James Neal who he played with in Dallas. Ribero was a total steal.

The Sabres haven't won in 2015. :(

Pekka is fine. He wouldn't have missed any time had it been the playoffs. I saw him walking around the suite level last game and he was skating normally at practice yesterday. BTW - Carter Hutton isn't very good, but Marek Mazanec who has been playing down in Milwaukee is the goalie of the future. He was recalled for tonight's game and might play.
