If I'm correctly interpreting the type of player Murray wants (heart and soul "gamer" types) then I think he sees Bogosian as an upgrade over Myers. More or less even as players, but Bogo brings more of what GMTM values with his physicality and nastiness. This is assuming Murray wants the Sabres to play a heavy physical style ala the Kings and Blues. I absolutely agree that he wanted a comparable defenseman back for Myers as part of any deal. Implicit in this is he is perhaps not 100% sold on Pysyk and/or McCabe.

I saw New Jersey play the Preds down here last week. They looked terrible (although Schneider was very good in goal). They still play that boring defensive system, which kills any offensive flow to the game. So, this matchup should be about as exciting as watching paint dry.

Guy looked shaky as hell all night. Great game to watch though.

Yakupov with his second of the game to put the Oilers up 4-3 over the Jets late in the third period. Yakupov has been very good tonight. ...well that didn't last long. 4-4. Ladd with the goal.

Yakupov has some serious skill. I think it is far too early for the Oilers to give up on him. 2-1 Oilers over the Jets after the 1st. Highly entertaining game.

Frustrating to see a guy like Mitchell centering for a guy like Moulson. MattyMo hasn't had a good year, but Mitchell has a career high of 10 goals and 23 points. He is a 4th line. CoHo obviously has had a brutal year, but why is he on the 4th line and Mitchell on the 2nd? And, why the ###### is Flynn getting power play time over CoHo? Nolan is trying a little too hard to prove a point.
