  1. List of top drafted prospects: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/jrhockey-buzzing-the-net/reinhart--ehlers-and-nylander-lead-scouts--take-on-top-10-nhl-drafted-prospects-031436409.html
  2. I think so too. No way we load up the lineup with rookies down the middle. In his 9-game audition earlier in the season, it was clear he wasn't ready to handle the physical side of the game just yet. A half year in the AHL would help him greatly in that regard.
  3. Grigo a gogo. Makes sense to get him some ice time with the big club. He has a legit shot at one of the center positions next season.
  4. I love Borscht, but have never tried to make it. Ate a lot of it back in the day when I spent a summer in Finland. There are stylistic differences between the different regions with a lot of different ingredient options (the potato variety is good). The only constant seems to be beets: http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2015/mar/04/borscht-whisperer/ (Supposedly) easy recipe: http://www.cookthestory.com/2014/12/22/easy-borscht-recipe/
  5. I'm kind of a Beatles fan. But, they should have never replaced Hitler as drummer.
  6. Oh, no. You have invoked Godwin's Law! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godwin%27s_law
  7. Locker improved year-over-year in Nashville (the Titans have been awful so the stats don't tell the whole story). His big problem is he dislocates his non-throwing shoulder every other game. He is a big strong guy who apparently has the "chin" of Glass Joe.
  8. Normally I would agree, but I think there might be more to EJ than what we know. I think his teammates might have no confidence in him.
  9. Good. I wouldn't be surprised if the Bills sign a free agent QB as well (Locker perhaps) then part ways with EJ. There won't be anyone available who doesn't have flaws. We have to look for servicable QBs then run the ball 600+ times this season.
  10. He wasn't out there a lot, but I liked Schaller's game. Varone was okay. Dalpe and D'Amigo played hard, but don't belong in this league. Got the Anaheim Arizona game on right now. Arizona is playing pretty well.
  11. Aside from the total lack of offense, which is to be expected, 2 goals directly attributable to Meszaros' millionth slashing the stick penalty. The guy might well be out of the league next year. I see the KHL in his future.
  12. I think Murray tries to re-sign Stewart. I think someone like Strachan as a cheap 7th/8th depth defenseman (basically his current role) wouldn't be terrible. I get the feeling some guys will be available via trade in order to create cap space for their current clubs. Those are guys Murray should seriously consider given we have room to take on some contracts.
  13. Game day threads used to be about the game. Remember those days? ;)
  14. Murray is likely going to re-sign Stewart on July 1st, so it is basically a free 2nd rounder in 2017. Very similar to CodyMac and Moulson deals (both to his good buddy Chuck Fletcher in Minny and both were re-signed on July 1).
  15. We already have their 2016 second rounder. Now we have their 2017 second rounder too.
  16. Too bad there was no market for our ###### UFA defensemen (Balls, Mess, Strachan).
  17. I rarely listen to WGR, but listening today, I'm hearing pure idiocy from the on-air talking heads. Is it always that way? I'm not sure I can take much more...
  18. Now we have Johnson, Hackett, and Lindback in net. Aka terrible, terrible, and terrible. :P
  19. 180 lb. forwards who score 6 goals per year aren't worth much more than a 5th rounder. Murray knew he wasn't going to resign Flynn (RFA) so might as well send him to the Habs.
  20. Flynn, like many Sabres, is long on character but short on talent. I think this move is about clearing out pro contracts for the future. WTF was Nolan doing putting Flynn out on the power play? Oof.
  21. Anyone know anything about D-man Brycen Martin? Anyone seen him play?
