    This is the problem with the NHL. You can absolutely mug players in the offensive zone. Hooking, crosschecks, interference, trips,... nothing called. But, accidentally flip the puck over the glass and that is an automatic 2 minutes. It's just so arbitrary.

    The NHL no longer calls obvious penalties. Scoring is at an all-time low for a reason.

    Linus put up huge numbers in the Swedish league two years ago as a 20 year old. I think it is pretty clear to everyone that he is the most talented goaltender on the roster. He just needs NHL experience. And, only one way to get that!

    Watching Leafs - Jets. Tyler Myers looks terrible again. He's a -7 on the year and really struggling in his own zone. But, at least he's not a coke fiend. ;)

    Yeah, unlike Johnson he almost always stops the first shot since he is lined up correctly. Some of the other stuff (movement, speed, etc.) can be learned with experience. I agree with the above poster that he was playing at AHL speed in his first start. He seems to be getting a little bit more used to the speed at this level. 2-1, 2.03 GAA, .930 Save %. Johnson has been so bad, I don't think Bylsma has much choice but to play Linus until Lehner comes back.

    I think we should keep playing Linus until he shows that he can't handle it. Johnson and his ocho ocho save percentage needs to watch from the bench for a while.
