That play by Power typifies so many Sabres through the years. Sometimes you have to take the hit, grind it out along the boards to clear the zone. They rarely do this. They flick it, poke it, tip it etc... Man up, getting hit to clear the zone is part of hockey.

Maybe Ray is teaching Tasker how to improve his commentary skills 🤔😏

Ha! I was just talking about Thomas Vanek yesterday. I was lucky enough to have box seats to the Frozen 4 back in 04. This kid Vanek stood out sooo much, I think he was the MVP for the tournament. The Sabre's weren't that good previous year and selected him at #5. I was very excited to have him playing for the Sabre's. He had a very good career for us, but alas, another player who couldn't help get us over the hump. I still have a Frozen 4 puck ☺️
