He did look pretty good out there.... but if he is the savior to me we are a few years away... I agree here... the quickest and easiest way is to literally, have your goalie let in a goal a game less... or .5 or whatever... but improvement in net is absolutely required to turn this around.

It wouldnt seem that way, but what happens is from what I understand in JBs case the ligaments that hold the big toe in place tear... so, imagine an ACL on a knee... this is defacto and ACL/LCL on a toe... clearly a lesser injury than an ACL... BUT alot of your planting, cutting ability, and balance is manufactured by the stability of that toe... without that your toe would pop up straight and you couldnt really protect yourself or use any real agility...

You dont do that unless you are Cinci or Cleveland... just sayin lol but you are right probably not even them... people have to remember, one of the toughest football players I knew was Jack Lambert and Turf toe put him in retirement.. clearly there will be better treatment, but this stuff is no joke.

Mrtka, loved his game, clearly runs around a bit and I don't think is like Zach Benson ready in his first year... but this is a guy I would give the 9 games to if he went back to Junior... 1 game, not elite from top to bottom competition, but from what I saw is as advertised + as I see him taking to heart his role as a big guy who needs to be physical... lets see what happens as we go on...
