What I would like to this is... Terry is workng behind the scenes to identify a major FO talent with experience and credibility to take over this ship and will allow that person to decide on what it next... while not allowing Adams to move any assets with the excepton of Tuch who we will lose in FA for zero if he doesnt.... and they only reason no one is fired is because he doesnt want to interfere with the next GMs plan... and when he has found his guy he will bring them in to re-do the team.... But this is a little bit like having 9 beers, no dates in 2 years, and rating how good looking someone is at 2am... not steeped in any kind of sober reality.... What I really think is happening is that he is letting these people run out their contracts so he doesnt have to pay them to sit at home... when they expire he will promote internally from this incestuous cesspool of dysfunction making Appert HC after an exhaustive search and Keko GM after an exhaustive search lol... and not replace thier positions to save money... and we will continue on the same painful treadmill we have been on for years... major players will defect starting with Tuch and we will have successfully devoided our franchise of anyone worth watching for draft picks and prospects... I would literally bet money on this.

Well you have been around for as long as me... I was a kid at a sports night at the knights of columbus... Rick Martin and JVB were there when the sabres called Martin to say they traded away Gare, Schoenfeld, Sauve and Smith for Peterson, McCourt and Foligno... He got up and told us that there was pressing team stuff and he had to leave.... never said what it was... we didnt find out till later... McCourt was the big nut in the trade but flamed out, Clearly Foligno was the ultimate prize but Peterson hung around for awhile winning face offs... thanks for bringing back memories of a happier hockey time...

also with Greenways injury history I am not sure I feel comfortable on counting him in....

I wish I was with the concept of we need to retool or we are making progress . I would say even if we are a little, I dont see it being the type of progress that propels us to the playoffs as a relevant contending team... JMO ( you may be here as well...) but in the end I am at the... how do you fix this... (simplistic take on what would be an involved plan) A significant addition of Vet talent, an overhaul of they type of skilled player that plays with grit, Veteran leadership that by example demands 60 minutes of effort and consistency to change the over all culture of this team... If you could execute on this strategy in our current form then fine, lets re tool.... Problem to me is actually getting those players, especially talented vets, to come here via trade or FA after the longest tenure of failure in the league faced with incompetent management and ownership... So to me they need to eradicate the FO and coaching staff... hire and pay a well respected and successful GM/POHO and allow them to assess the players and situation. One that could actually convince a more talented player to come here because it is going to be different... I also accept that the decision may be blow it up, trade for assets and totally rebuild... in fact, I feel like that is the most likely outcome... but who knows... But in the end, we need to remove the we cannot obtain talent via trade or FA moniker from this team... that at this point is the scarlet letter that this brand bears as a result of multiple decades of embarrassing and unparallel incompetence and abject failure...

Sabres are the team you put in your backup goalie to give your starter rest and scratch and questionable players with bumps and bruises. Please for the love of God do not let Adams anywhere near a trade

I have no doubt they called... here is the thing... how does Adams trade this guy... Well... he seems to be in a precarious position in his job... I cannot see him trading him and making the team worse... so he would need to get a package going to get the best player in the trade... this is not likely to happen because of the NMC that seem to bar any NHLer that has one from coming here.... So any trade would be for multiples of less player, prospects and picks.... probably not gonna catapult us into the playoffs.... Pegula... the other way they make the trade is if Pegula is pushing for it for whatever reason ... i.e reducing payroll... in that instance again I do not see this as a benefit move for the Sabres.... Lastly, because Tage wants to force his way out and they have to go get something for him... well... that certainly doesnt bode well for the Sabres either.... Bottom line, I do not see KA trading this player on his own as I think it would be very difficult to make the team better by doing so and his job should likely be on the line... UNLESS he has assurances from TP that he will be brought back next year and into the future... then Adams gonna Adams... and that is also bad for the Sabres...
