I think a lot of us who have been fans for longer than 05-07 seasons, know what it's like for the most part to have good to hall of fame goaltending. You build from the net out... Nothing in front is going to matter if you can't be consistently be good to great in net. You need to a guy to steal games when you're team is off or can't seem to buy a goal! Jettison UPL... get Demko and we're headed to the playoffs as is! This is not rocket science.

We can go ahead and sign up all the right-handed defenseman we want. Won't matter a lick! We do not have a goaltender on the roster, especially UPL who can't steal games like most modern good goaltenders can! Therefore the defense can never play the way they need to, because they know one wrong move is in the back of the net every time! Until we get serious, about the goaltender position... We're going to see groundhog's day over and over again! This organization used to be one of the premier organizations in the league with goaltending! Wake up and get rid of UPL! He is the problem... And you won't go, to where you want to go, with him!

He just sucks... Plainly can't make routine saves.

I think we focus way too much on the defense and not goaltending. Buffalo was a hot bed of goaltenders until we decided to throw everything out to get McDavid. It was a terrible move at the time and looks worse the longer time goes on. GMTM made matters worse with Lehner and we've never fully recovered. It should be a priority to find a top goalie. Look at what Reimer did yesterday, reclaiming his glory days... It makes all the difference.

Yeah, I don't see that happening! UPL is a head case whenever Levi has been up. For those who want to give UPL an out by blaming the D (that I completely agree is poorly constructed), when he doesn't pass the eye test. Watch the goals that typically beat him... Most of the time he overplays the puck to one side or the other and has neither the skill nor the quickness to get back. The book is out on him around the league, and basically players on the opposing team are smirking when they score, they know.

Discussion; some of his flaws should have been fixed by the goaltending coach at this point in his career. He comes out of the net and often can't find his way back. Leaving an empty net. His numbers tell the story, and most of the goals he let's in a competent NHL goalie would save. Whether it's mental or lack of talent, He should have been put on waivers. No one picking him up would tell the real story of how others view his play.

That could have been said about the Bills for nearly 2 decades. Thank God for J.A. 17!

Simply put... The change in coach proves what a terrible job Adams did and putting a team together. (I know obvious) Sorry, we need to start trading most of the garbage including the Captain... Don't care if he wins a cup somewhere else, he's a man-child right now, not deserving of the C.

Please, Cozens has had enough time on the pp this season ... His zone entries are terrible, his shot selections are terrible, just enough... He's not getting better!

Yeah... Tell me how the first goal was a "high danger" shot? Poor angle shot from Larkin and went off his pads and in... The guy is average and sometimes plays much below. Costly goal.

UPL... Never challenges shooters. Just awful goaltending... Come out to the top of the paint!
