Is this a season with some luck, with key-players injured before the season instead of during the season?

Lindell has agreed to a five year extension with Stats. AAV said to be around 5,25 milj.

Great to start the season with a victory. Kulich even better than expected.
-
I am more interested in Rasmus Andersson, but if Calgary would retain 3 milj. per year I would take Kadri.

A sad Day for the Gaudreau family and for hockey as a sport. What a tragedy.

I'd argue the SHL is better than Liiga
SHL is definitely better than Liiga. The rinksize is bigger so they might need more time to adjust instead.
Östlund reminds me in some way of Teräväinen, who also played C as young, but then was moved to the wing.

I think both are wingers. Mckenna is as a WHL player.
And I don’t think the Pens can have that much draft luck😁
To think the Pens have drafted Mario, Jagr, Sid and Malkin
and the Oilers got Gretzky, Messier, Coffey, McDavid, Leon
Two franchises blessed with some of the best players ever (and I’m not putting Leon and Malkin on the level with the others but superstars that partnered with the best players in the game)
Thanks, I never even bothered to check McKennas position, just took for granted he played center, as the players he is compared to.
And I really hope Penguins not win the lottery, it is someone elses turn now.

Yep Yager for McGroaty.
Oh, McGroarty as their 2C and McKenna as 1C.

Penguins might be tanking to get McKenna. Some rumours say this is Malkins last season.

Kulich
Possible, but I think the addition of Helenius will push Kulich or Östlund to play wing.

Translation:
Konsta Helenius signed a rookie contract in the NHL in the summer and is looking for a place to play in the Buffalo Sabres' organization. Tappara wishes his breed good luck on the journey! #Tappara #Liiga
Breed? 🤔
I think his breed should be translated about as their prospect. I have hard to find the right words for that in English.
Tappara is not expecting him to play in Liiga this season as it seems.

Kamala is the finnish word for horrible.
Hope she isn't.

I think Sabres finally not force young players into a line-up. Now they have to show consistent high level games over a whole season to earn a chance to be a full time NHL player. To me that is a sign that GM finally see the team as a playoff team, and I did not have this good feeling this time last year.
The thing that made me excited reading the article is that Helenius might be the go to guy at faceoffs in the end off the games we have been missing. But that is in the future.

There's no spot for Helenius. Kulich, I suppose if a winger gets hurt maybe.
Most likely no, but time will tell. When a top mine winger get injured, I will be very surprised if Kulich is not first man up.

If these guys show domination at the AHL level then the big club has to find a way to get them ice time at the NHL.
I think they are in a good position to compete for minutes, but most important is to show consistent high level games a whole season. If they do that this coming season, there is no need to make a expensive one year signing again next offseason.
-
Based on what Jokinen said about competing for a spot in NHL coming season, and what Prospal said earlier that Kulich has to tear up the AHL, and show he can be consistent to show he is ready for NHL, I think we will see Helenius in Rochester. So let's hope they both tear up the AHL.

My parents went on a trip to lake Garda a couple of years ago and liked it there. They also went on a daytrip to Venice, and even if it was not tourist season, it was still crowded, but very beautiful city they told.
I would like to go hiking to the Italian side of the Alps, at the Bolzano area. Have only been to Switzerland, and that I can recommend.

...they win those games they are supposed to win. No more unnecessery losses against Ducks and Blue Jackets.

I think that it is just how the writer looks at it. As someone already wrote we have a deep prospect pool. On the other hand, I think last time a team won Stanley cup without a forward drafted top 5 in it was 2012. In that case the writers opinion is unfortunately true.

Not as userfriendly as capfriendly imo, but it works. I go with this one.

Kulich is already blocked. He's not better than Benson, jjp, Quinn or Tuch. He's not getting a center spot with Tage and Cozens around
This is an interesting point. What happens if Kulich is better than a 5milj Zucker?? My feeling is he has to be close to that after this offseason.

I think UPL realized how Adams look at him last year with them trying to push Levi forward. UPL might be a bit impatient, but he has also worked very hard to get to where he is, and I think he consider he has proven he is a winner.
I am not worried about how UPL will play the coming season, but a Levi -UPL tandem can be a problem. On the other hand I think Ruff has the routine to handle it.

Is there a clause in his contract to let him go to Rochester?
I thought he had a year left with Jukurit.
I am not sure how that goes. But usually Liiga contracts come with a paragraph that makes it possible to sign with a NHL team.
