  1. Could Quinn have shot it any more perfectly directly into his chest if he tried?
  2. Maybe Adams has been listening to some Wiz Khalifa "Black and Yellow"... "Anything I do...I do it big..."
  3. Zuccarello too busy experimenting with different types of pasta and sauce combinations to bother to play
  4. Probably wondering what the hell these players are doing since he has been on good teams for a long time and that type of stuff is second nature to him.
  5. Most 4th lines aren't there to play against other teams 4th lines they are there to play against the other teams top lines since they are more defensive players usually with limited offensive potential. Essentially they have a role to play on the team and offense isn't it. Anything you get from them in that way is a bonus. Even then just spending 45-60 seconds in the offensive zone on a hard fore check without even getting a shot on goal is a win since it means the other teams top line isn't even getting in the O zone before they have to change.
  6. Yes...this team is starting to come together and learn how to play properly and how to win. That's a direct influence of Lindy Ruff and him holding the players accountable for their play and understanding what it means to be a professional. Already have strung together three 3 game winning streaks this year before the end of November. Now they need to figure out how to turn 3 game winning streaks into 4 and 5 game win streaks. They have not succeeded their prior 2 times. Got to keep taking steps in the right direction.
  7. Yeah it's a really weird take, IMO. Why would anyone expect their 4th line to be good at scoring? If they were they wouldn't be on the 4th line, it's not their job.
  8. He is young, a lot of the inconsistent play can simply be attributed to that.
  9. The speed doesn't show up in creating chances on offense usually, it shows up in getting back on D and getting sticks on pucks in the D zone which they have been really good at as of late. And on the penalty kills where they have been all over teams lately. Sabres have risen to 12th in the NHL in penalty killing from 30th earlier in the year. This team is starting to come together and learn under Ruff. Winning isn't automatic like some think, it's a process and having to go thru learning periods and figuring things out when they are in certain situations.
  10. Neither is this team. Nobody on this team has been here for 13 years. That's stuff fans worry about, not players.
  11. I guess beating Dallas and then kicking the living hell out of the Rangers were games we were supposed to win too?
  12. Reimer was unreal tonight... Sabres hung him out to dry for much of the night but he came up with big save after big save til they fought their way back in it... Great job by the team to keep plugging away even tho they were probably exhausted... 3-0 on the road trip and the 3rd 3 game winning streak before the end of November...
  13. That was such a BS penalty on Krebs, he didn't even touch him the player fell down trying to reach and turn for the puck
  14. Something that was interesting was an interview with Rob Ray earlier in the week on WGR and he said he was talking with Power and he told him that it's been something he has had to work on learning again because when he was growing up playing he couldn't do that because he was so much bigger and stronger than everyone else that he would always get called for penalties if he tried to play physical, so he had to not do that or else he would spend the whole game in the box. Said he is having to re-learn a lot of the physical game and how to bring that back into play.
  15. Power had two assists which now gives him 15 even strength points, best in the NHL passing Cale Makar who he was tied with heading into the game. For those who constantly want to use Power as a whipping boy I think it's time you probably stop seeing what you want to see and start seeing what's actually there. He might not be the greatest in his own zone but he is very valuable in transition offense and starting plays from deep in his own zone with stretch passes...has been since his rookie year. The defense will come with time, that's how it usually works for young players. Definitely starting to come along more and more as the season moves forward.
  16. This team isn't good enough to take ANYONE lightly.
  17. I'd love to see more offense from him since he definitely has the skill, but I guess the fact he is the best 2 way player on the team already at 19 will have to be enough
  18. I thought it was a pretty even game for the most part. Anaheim had the better play early, Sabres started playing better towards the end of the second and into the third. Good teams find ways to win when they aren't at their best...we might be trending in that direction.
  19. That means technically we are ahead of them and their ridiculously terrible -20 goal differential.
  20. Yeah he has had some amazing short handed goals and empty netters from that... In this case he just out muscled a guy and shoved him to the ground and took the puck. Straight beast mode...
  21. Wasn't their best game but they played hard and came back from 2 down when they could have just went away. Lindy starting to rub off more and more it seems... Hoping Tage comes back soon...thought he was going to be in against the Kings and now he is still out tonight...
  22. Nice way to start the road trip
