It's amazing to watch what a good power play looks like. Imagine getting multiple good chances when you get the man advantage and actually scoring goals routinely.

Bills struggle usually the day after Sabres losses...

I mean Rasmus put up 4 straight 40+ point seasons for us on terrible teams. That's not nothing... But he did that playing way more minutes than he should have.

Gretzky called out Power in the intermission after he failed to clear the puck on Zibanijad's PPG in the 1st... "I just want to say, guy wins the faceoff, Power has to get the puck out. That's why you're losing. There's no excuse for that puck not getting out. On your strong side. 220 pounds. 6-foot-6. That puck has to get down the ice."

If this team didn't have bad luck they would have no luck at all.

With as many guys as he wants to bench he might need to call up half the Amerks team... Problem is instead of taking it as a challenge to get their act together thase mentally weak players sit around and cry in their milk. Might be the most mentally weak team ever assembled in the NHL.

Good luck Sabres... A much better team who is highly motivated to kick your ass at home after the drubbing you gave them in their building earlier this season. This will end well I'm sure.

If I was Ruff I might just say "F this, I don't need this stress at my age" and walk away. This team is going to give him ulcers, a stroke or a heart attack if they keep this up. They might be taking their role as "coach killers" too literally.

It's kind of mind boggling how this team was so bad at most things under Granato but among the best in the NHL at protecting leads after 2 periods. In the last 2 years under Granato the Sabres were 53-1-5 when leading after 2 periods. This year they are 7-2-1. Essentially they have more regulation losses when leading after 2 periods in 10 games under Ruff than they did in 59 games under Granato when they entered the 3rd period with a lead.

And of course... Osgood was right...watching the 2nd period intermission he predicted the Wings would come back and win 6-5.

How are these guys so terrible in the shootouts? Shoot the damn puck.

Teams should be able to decline the icing if they get possession in OT. It's actually a disadvantage in that situation to give up clear possession for a 50/50 proposition.

The one thing they were exceptional at under Granato.

My wife enjoys that as well.

Sabres just need to play Detroit more and all their problems would be solved. They seem to always score tons of goals against them at home especially.
