I don't give a crap about that "stat". Quinn will likely give them a significant boost on the back half of the year once he comes back. Will probably take him a month or so to get back into the swing of things once he starts playing. Blah, blah, blah... You don't actually watch games. At least not with any knowledge of what you are watching.

How do you know? Binnington was a rookie that year. Levi is fully capable of becoming that as he gains experience. It's amazing how people act like young players just automatically reach their peak in their first game and if they don't there is no chance they improve during a season. Do you even watch sports?

They are .500 thru the first 15 games. Not 1-13-1. And they didn't miss the playoffs due to being worn out. They missed the playoffs because they were abysmal at home. When the only teams with a worse home record are the 4 worst teams in the league that all finished 30+ points behind you in the standings, you need to look no further where the problem is.

They are better and will improve as they continue to get better playing more defensively. It's still relatively new, they will continue to improve as the year goes on and they get more experience and learn what works and what doesn't.

Guess you'll find out by the end of the year. Freaking out at game 14 does no good, nor does it make any sense. The goal isn't to peak in November, we've seen that version of this team many times over the past 12 years. The goal is to peak in late February heading into March and April.

Sabres have had plenty of chances to be at least tied but they can't find the back of the net tonight.

It's still the case, that's the problem.

We missed the playoffs because they had the 5th worst home record in the NHL. The only 4 teams worse were the 4 worst teams in the NHL that all finished 30+ points lower in the standings. If they want to be a playoff team they need to fix their penchant for sucking at home so often.

It's 13 games into the season there are no big games at this point and they don't need any number of points from a weekend series.

UPL needed to cover that puck when he had the chance...OT goal was a direct result of him keeping it in play with tired guys out there.

More like they would beat Carolina because they are on the road and are an elite road team.

The reason is the Sabres are terrible at home. Until they figure that out I find it hard to believe they can win enough road games to make up for their home incompetence. With that being said they are an elite road team. Why they can't play at home I have no idea...almost like they get too nervous because they want to make the fans happy and don't pay attention to any details.
