No!!! "Peace, love, dope!! Now get the hell outta here!!"

As well they should be

I don't want dudes who are fading out age wise still being paid like they are 26. The quickest way to obscurity for any sports team is to pay for past performance with players past their prime instead of letting them go. And paying those players for a team like us isn't smart, IMHO.

Never hockey, but was a huge baseball card collector and also football for a while.

Cyclists should realizw that using American streets to ride on is akin to playing Russian Roulette with your life. If you want to safely cycle on streets then move to the Netherlands where half the population's primary transportation mode is bike and roads are designed for them more than cars. Plenty of places to ride where cars aren't allowed, suggest you ride there. It sucks, but American roads aren't designed for bikes and American drivers are terrible at avoiding hitting them, both bikes and motorcycles. You can be mad, upset or whatever but at the end of the day your life is more important than riding a bike on the street. Figure out a different transportation mode if you value your life in the US.

Johnny Gaudreau and Brother Matthew Killed by Drunk Driver

Wow! That is crazy! Another reason why I will never ride a bike unless it's in the Netherlands where the bikes are the ones that the roads are made for and cars are the "guests". In America you literally take your life in your hands any time you ride a bike...or motorcycle. RIP -
Yeah, we use GitHub Co-Pilot at work daily and honestly there are times I have been trying to get it to help for an hour and then go to stack overflow and I find what I need in like 5 minutes. Always check Stackoverflow now before I ask to see if it's something I can find there first.

AI is good at writing code at times. Mostly boilerplate code and unit tests, etc. The more complex what needs to be coded, the less useful AI will be. In some instances it actually hurts the person using it because it constantly sends them down deep rabbit holes in the wrong direction or gives nonsense code that doesn't do anything like what you requested or to provide.

Lots of stuff in Dutch in Rotterdam

He doesn't have any legal records with them? Sounds like they should.be liable for that.

I'll judge it based on results and not what I think since that is meaningless. IMO, the biggest off-season addition was Lindy Ruff.

Oh yeah.. I guess that's a little excessive.

I always thought is was normal for brakes to squeak a little after replacing due to brake dust, etc having to kinda "wear in" the brake pads

Not sure if this was mentioned somewhere but this kinda hurts if true... "Seravalli asserts that Carolina had agreed to a Necas trade with the Buffalo Sabres. However, Seravalli did admit in the podcast that it may not have been the Sabres but he was fairly certain. The trade broke down relatively quickly as Necas purportedly would not agree to sign a new contract in Buffalo." https://www.prohockeyrumors.com/2024/07/hurricanes-attempted-to-trade-necas-prior-to-extension.html

I grew up on the East Side of Buffalo in a neighborhood where you always had to keep your head on a swivel walking down the street. Still am hyper aware of my surroundings to this day from growing up there and these are the times and situations where it comes in pretty handy.

From what I have heard from others who have traveled to Europe(I am getting ready to go myself in 2 weeks but to France, Belgium, Germany, etc), is that you have to be VERY careful with people trying to pickpocket you. It's a huge thing there apparently. Don't let anyone touch you, come up and start talking to try and distract you while their partner goes to work, hug you, etc... In the US it's not that common but over there it is exceptionally common. Also was told to make a copy of your important documents like passport, etc in case something happens so you can go to the US Embassy there and get help with getting replacement documents.

Has a lot to learn about writing code too. This nonsense about how AI is going to put all software engineers out of a job within 5 years is complete rubbish. It's definitely a productivity boost when used in conjunction with a competent software engineer, but if someone is incompetent it's not going to be much use to them or it's going to build you something that either doesn't work or doesn't even do anything close to what it is supposed to do and they won't know better or how to instruct it properly. I use it everyday at work with GitHub Co-Pilot and it's very good at writing repetitive boilerplate code, documentation and unit tests. Not so great at much else. It will send you down a rabbit hole very quickly if you let it.

Maybe to blend in with all the 6'4" and larger forwards we already have?

Sabres added speed this offseason -Check the numbers

Having potentially the fastest line in hockey as a checking line is pretty fantastic... But they are a heck of a lot faster than who they lost and that matters when you are pressuring the puck and disrupting the opposition. -
Steep you say? Did you ever walk up the steps in the old Aud? It was literally like stairway to heaven.

Their roof is likely made of much different material than yours.

What praise? I literally watch the other teams broadcast every night so I don't have to listen to him.

Me too, but I work 1/3 of the hours

As a senior software engineer I likely barely work 84 hours in 3 weeks if I factor in actual time working and not doing other stuff like browsing the internet, waiting for pipeline builds to deploy or other random stuff. Probably between 85-90. Luckily I make up for it by being super efficient and focused when I do actually work so the net result is that I usually finish things well ahead of the expected time. I used to work crazy hours and OT at different jobs(especially the restaurants) but at some point I realized that it wasn't appreciated really and that all it did was cause me to get burnt out. Never again. I'm the CEO of Me, INC and I realized that companies don't give a crap about you in the end so if they are always looking out for their best interest then I will do the same for mine. I definitely take pride in my work and getting things done but the days of pushing harder and harder to get things done is over. All that leads to is the expectation it will always be like that and the dumping of more work onto you from people who aren't moving as fast...your reward? Extra work without extra pay...or a minimal promotion and pay increase with double the work...no thanks. If I want a raise I either wait for the IT recruiters to contact me about positions or get in touch with them and let them know what I am looking for and when they have something they get back to me. Last 3 job changes have all been from recruiters reaching out to me when I wasn't even looking. The offers were too good to pass up tho, basically got 20K raises each time with bonuses on top of it. Switching jobs every year to two years is pretty much standard practice until you reach a certain pay level that's near the ceiling, then you become more selective. I realize in the factories it can be different as they can require it as part of the job, but that wouldn't be for me.

Damn that sucks, but as a doctor I presume you should at least have no issues finding a job and one that likely pays more to boot.
