Hot takes gone cold? Revisit your Sabres agita
Night Train replied to Stoner's topic in The Aud Club
I thought he meant to say Angina. We all have plenty of that. Ny current "Agitas" is the failure of our forwards to get back on D, allowing an alarming amount of clean breaks by our opponents. That better change. -
Movies / TV Shows - I Have Watched / Plan To Watch
Night Train replied to Sabres Fan in NS's topic in The Aud Club
Will Trent has very well written scripts with humor. Finally something good on Network TV. -
The media is giving opinions/roster projections before camp even begins for the Sabres and Bills. No issues. Some wish to sell their "knowledge" of the situations in the form of absolutes/inside information before anything even starts. One has to take those articles at face value. It's a guess. The coaches don't give a ***** what they say.

But half this board is in therapy. Which PHD do you believe ?

Watching The Open over in England. Oh, to be a dentist in that country..

Ullmark in Boston playoffs 2021-22 0-2 4.16 . 860 2022-23 3-3 3.33 .896

Awards aside, ask Boston fans about his play in Round 1 this year.

Racculia made a bundle and is interested in something else. Mountain out of molehill.

The only issue with the Jets is their coach makes horrid decisions in the moment and is 11-23. Now Rodgers will make him great. Got it.. .Dear God, get this season going ...the projections being discussed prove there's a widespread drug problem..
-
The Sabres themselves don't even know the lineup yet. Fun to guess but let's let camp play out before dealing in absolutes.

Vanish into the shadows. Cannot be discovered..

Remember the board dress code. Trenchcoat, binoculars and darting eyes to spot possible board members before breaking into a sprint to escape detection.

That's called growth. So much more to do, like playing team defense in front of your goalie, instead of floating back after getting caught deep..the norm all too often. Learn that the game film doesn't lie. Opposing players flying down the center of the ice uncovered killed this team. The roster itself is always in some degree of flux when your still a team rising out of the ashes. Fell one game short of a playoff spot but things going "right" suggests we've peaked and must somehow maintain to comepete again. Sabres have so much room for improvement and more youth than most teams with actual upside. No free pass. We'll see if things change but I'm hoping our 2 new Vets on D can stand up and say something in the dressing room about a team needing to play hard in both ends of the rink. Might help our Goaltending worries. Just a hunch..

Further down Elmwood in Kenmore (north of Buffalo) is Mustachios Pizza. Wings are nothing special but their pizza is excellent IMO.

What is Olofsson's role in the 2023/24 Sabres?
Night Train replied to LGR4GM's topic in The Aud Club
Ex-Sabre is his role. -
Since the double hip surgery, UPL has never developed. His high point was with Finland in the world juniors years back...pre-surgery. I would look at Comrie or one of the Rochester Goalies over him, if left with those options. There is still time to add.

Obviously Irish..

That was some magic 8-ball.

My cousin just texted me that. Where did that come from ?

I like winter because I still like to skate. Can't play hockey anymore being in my mid-60's but I never hated the winters like others. Parents had a condo near Ft.Lauderdale for 20+ years in my younger days, so I enjoyed many warm vacations for the price of a plane ticket. Had a great job here until I retired but my wife is several years younger and still teaches. So maybe I'll rent in Florida down the road but it isn't a must. It's still about the lifestyle and keeping busy. All good.

Living locally in Erie County, I feel for the rest of the country. Our weather has recently had a little rain after being bone dry from the beginning of May. I measure weather in how often I can sit outside on my large deck... full of flowers. A running fountain. Music. It's been basically great for weeks and will be part of my daily routine until early October. I wouldn't trade our May-October weather with anyone, after watching all the extreme weather hitting the rest of the country.
