Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #27 Devon Levi
Night Train replied to dudacek's topic in The Aud Club
Agreed It all depends who splits time with him and how they play. Don't overwork him because the #2 G plays poorly. Replace #2. -
No arguments but I wish Krebs could get good scoring types as wingers. His hustle and passing ability would help a couple snipers.

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #37 Casey Mittelstadt

The rosters biggest enigma. I want to put my arms around him so often and give him the benefit of the doubt. Yet so often, he looks to make a good play and loses control of the puck or fans on a shot. Struggles with poise and seems like a nervous wreck. Yet other times, he hustles and throws a nice pass in front of the net. Always seems to be fighting himself. I do NOT dislike him but cannot figure what version of him I'm getting for long stretches. -

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #53 Jeff Skinner

2 guys who lay out every shift and never float are Skinner and Krebs. Always appreciate non-stop hustle. -
The employees at Nearby Perrys Ice Cream are being offered mental health counseling as a result of this traumatic tagedy.

I retired from a major car company. The industry is putting out poor quality vehicles while overcharging the public. Integrity went down the tubes once Covid hit and they lost money. Let China hold them hostage on chips. Bad 3,rd party parts.,A disgrace as a whole.New car inventory is so low. I would check reviews on Edmunds before buying anything. Not KBB . Consumers is only good for used cars and their repair records. I wouldn't buy a thing from my former company. I know which cars last .

A seat in the pressbox with a " Defense For Dummies " book to read in between periods. -
Actually I'm fine with it and was making a joke, which I do often. Cannot help if you took it to heart. I watch volleyball on BTN often. I attended a certain school in Columbus.

So the Nebraska womens volleyball team plays interstate Omaha at the football stadium and 92,003 show up. I guess the corn fields were cleared and there was nothing else to do.

I get the post season issue last year... but 13-3 was our regular season record. No narrative there. Draft + Vet FA + giving a specific core good contracts to stay. I'm hoping for 11 wins and a post season spot with a far more difficult schedule. Keeping it real. Sure beats those roughly 20 years of nothing. I'm sure if the Sabres take another step forward and start losing in the 1st ,2nd round of the playoffs, we'll read many calling to clean out the front office with some world class chest beating.

I saw that yesterday. I have pointed out before how well he digs the puck out and hits his mates with perfect passes in front of the net. Putting him on a 4th line with Girgs and KO is a waste. He can garner a lot of assists with some better players around him. Hustles every shift.

Annual expectations thread 2023/24: #89 Alex Tuch

He will do great...followed by many posters saying we now cannot afford his new deal and must be traded for picks. -
Bernard was drafted to be the backup to Milano, who has an injury history. Straight from McDermott and Beane. He's supposed to be back in uniform this week, according to Beane yesterday. Rookie Williams is looking to be the other LB eventually while Dotson plays. Where did Klein starting come from ?? He was playing in the 4th Q yesterday and might be cut in the next 48 hours. Many times, Milano is the only LB on the field while Neal comes in for coverage as an in the box safety or extra CB. The Bills lost little to nothing when Edmunds left. He had straight ahead speed but zero recognition skills and couldn't cover his shadow. Can't belive Bears gave him that $$. That was a mistake. I've been worried about the OL for 50 + years, so that's nothing new. Maybe backup QB but the seaons done if your starter goes down anyhow. Not worried about WR, TE, RB. On D, not worried about DL and Secondary. Seems more than set at all those positions. Good depth. A fanbase is always concerned about their own team. I get that.

Still, John Lynch traded 3 #1 picks and a 3rd to draft him. One of the biggest draft blunders in history. Lance is a couple years of good coaching away from being a XFL QB. If any starting QB goes down for an extened time, your season is basically done.
-
That's some savvy GM work by John Lynch. Three #1 draft picks and a 3rd for Trey Lance. Here's my preview for Todays pre-season finale. Don't get hurt. The End.
-
Once you sign your franchise QB to the big contract, the game changes. Vet FA is just as important as the draft. Beane is very active in that avenue and turnover is the norm. I'll watch and learn like everyone when the real games begin. I never learn much of anything in the pre-season..my first being 1965. Coaches usually show nothing and all players are suddenly void of talent . We'll see.

After this recent warmup game that I missed while traveling, I see the sky is falling yet again. I'll watch the Jets opener just to spite the masses.

Van Miller doing Braves BB games in the 70's. Keith Jackson doing College Football. Junior Samplers doing rodeo. :-).

Agreed. Especially Ullmark for Krebs and a 1st rounder. The guy is average and played bad 2 years in a row during the post-season. He can choke on his "awards" . Yuck.

Paul Wieland and Rick in the 1970's.

Bills have a tough schedule but just take it 1 week at a time and keep Allen upright. 11 wins probably gets you in the post-season where anything can happen. Fans live to point out the warts on the team. Other teams have them too, despite the created narratives. Injuries are always the wildcard. Looking forward to the season but it's still 3 weeks away. Enjoy the summer.
