Great thread indeed. Feel free to correct but there's a small lake 6 miles from Lake George. Grey Lake ? Six Flags Great Escape is right next to it. Took the kids their a couple times in their youth years back, I would watch folks travel down the lake in pontoon party boats and dock at a restaurant where they would bring the food right to the boat. Great Escape has the old Comet from Crystal Beach rebuilt in the water park. Almost crapped my pants revisiting my youth. But the lake is out of a postcard beautiful and I loved that place.

The problem with NY State isn't teachers salaries. It's welfare and all the giveaway programs. I deal with it but that's what needs to be addressed. Productive workers.

It's easy to live in WNY in my opinion. I traveled a lot in the military during my younger days. Didn't like the south at all. Worked in San Diego for a few years and that was expensive. Upon returning, bought a nice house. Paid it off 25 years ago. Get a VA discount on taxes. Get a bad storm every 10 years. Most of my winters are mild now, compared to youth. Summers here are outstanding. Perfect temp. Lots to do for my lifestyle. To each their own. We all have different lives.

Great player but IMO, the only player/position that should kill a Cap is a true Franchise QB. The NFL has far too much confidence that the cap will keep rising at warp speed and fans will keep paying. Teams will soon pay 5 guys and have nearly 50 guys with 1-2 year deals. Excessive turnover. Don't see that as a positive and it's already getting there.

Starting the Cup final in June seems crazy. Plus I cannot hope any sports team from Miami wins anything, after enduring the 1970's with the Miami football team. I don't care how many ex-Sabres play there.
