Old guy memory for Bison fans...Guy Trottier. He was my first favorite player. The last 2 years of the Bisons, he scored 45 and 55 goals respectively. Scored 28 more for Toronto over the next 2 years, then played in the old WHA for Toronto for 3 years.. His last season was for the Buffalo Norsemen ! North American Hockey League . 56 games 36 goals and 22 assists ! Loved him.

Grew up with my older brother taking me to Bisons games in the late 60's ( Won the AHL title the last year before Sabres 1970 debut) and saw Gump Worsley and Sabres backup Joe Daley in my 1st NHL game both play Goalie without a mask. Insanity. Minnesota North Stars. Samuelsson, Power and Cozens we paid big WAY too soon. Moves like that cast major doubt. Now he's digging in to justify it and the cap stays tighter. He performs his expected role well. Glad he's here. The only knock is missing games with a couple injuries. I notice him every game making the best effort. 2 Mil is nothing BTW.
