Anything less than making the playoffs would be unacceptable. I understand that it's highly unlikely, at this point, that the Sabres will get in. There should no leg to stand on if you missed the playoffs by one single win last year. The team is essentially the same, with minor upgrades. There is no excuse I remain hopeful, however. Keep the winning streak going. A lot can change in just a few weeks time

Yeah, they each had the same amount of balls. Could you imagine Crosby with Drury, Briere, Roy, Vanek etc. Legitimate chance at a cup. This may not be a popular opinion, but I don't think Miller was the guy in net. Too many head scratching goals allowed overall and seemed fragile emotionally. I'd still take Miller over the goalies the past 12 years have offered us, though. Without question Regarding tonight's game, 7-4 Sabres win. If the Sabres do not score the first goal, I'd fire Granato during the first intermission. Actually, if the Sabres don't win the entirety of their remaining games, I'd fire Granato. Win the rest of the games or you're FIRED How's that for urgency

I dont agree with this. A team doesn't score 296 goals and then all of a sudden can't. The talent is there, you can't even get that many goals without being talented. That's impossible. There's far more evidence to blame the coach/GM. For Granato: He "changed" the system He didn't have enough courage to keep trying that defensive system He admitted to letting them play how they want (Whats the point of a coach, then?) He contradicts himself and goes back to last years "successful" system For Adams: No grit added Doesn't care about goaltending In my opinion, this is far more on the Coach and GM than the players. Too many players have INSTANT success the SECOND they leave. Call Gallant already. Do something. Show some pulse
