The objection is that these are all paid sponsorships. Nfl did October breast cancer, then it was revealed it was all part of money changing hands. Now October is military appreciation and teams are excepting money as a paid recruitment commercial. It feels very disingenuous when a nice deed is revealed to be profit driven. Having to pay for a thank you or inclusivity feels very yucky.

kind of defeats the purpose of a bye week for half the teams to have it overlap w/ the break. a bye week is great if you're injured... but for the other 90% just battling general fatigue, anything after 5 or 6 days off is excessive. what a disadvantage to half these teams including us
