Just like the 1st period of last game, Sabres are getting flustered and just slapping the puck around the boards and down the ice, not even trying to maintain possession and make passes to move the puck up the ice. Gotta stop panicking and get back to their game.

This is exactly how it works, why do you think so much money and effort is put into the mainstream "news" networks (on both sides), and controlling the narritive? Because what the masses of people believe and where their attentions lays literally alters reality.

There is still room imo, Skinner could be replaced if he doesn't continue to produce, Mittelstadt if he doesn't break out, and we could maybe trade Olofsson eventually. That is 3 top 6 spots right there, and then Okposo and Girgensons could be replaced, but those are 4th line players so I doubt it, the prospects would have to be really good if we were going to go to 4 scoring lines.

He is playing this well and he still looks like he could gain 20 lbs of muscle, its a good thing.

Again Comrie down on his knees way to quick on that goal. He needs to stay on his feet until the shot is about to come at least to make it seem like you might guard up high. Good players that can put it off the crossbar will just score on you every time bro. Yikes.

I know Comrie has been left out to dry, but he still doesn't look good. He seems to watch the puck a little to much, not much awareness of who is around him that might get the puck passed to them and then score. Also seems to be knees down on the ice far to often, shouldn't he only be on his knees when he is expecting a shot to come through? He keeps shuffling around back and forth down on his knees instead of on his skates, which is going to make him slower to get over to the other side of the net. I dunno he might be serviceable but he ain't blowing me away so far that is for sure. Maybe he will look a lot better with sound defense, maybe he is over-playing the puck because he knows he has pretty much zero help. Guess we will see when the regular season starts, definitely will have the starting d-man in front of him then.

It is nice seeing them actually able to make passes to each other tape on tape though, passing definitely looks better, they are just doing to much of it, shoot the puck!

Need to get a little more dirty, always looking for that perfect or open shot, a crap ton of passing and very little shooting, only 12 shots on goal sense the end of the 1st period... Need to just get that puck on net and look for rebounds, can't be looking for the perfect play every goal.

Thanks. Seeing how most of our players are still so young, you could say our "prospects" are whooping Carolinas "prospects". It is just all our prospects are high draft picks, even Dahlin is only 22, Tage Thompson 24, and the rest even younger. Skinner, Okposo, And Vinni have been noticeable this game though, and they are all veterans, but still the future is bright for this team, just need it all to come together.

I mean its good for us, AHL team or not it builds confidence for these young players.

That is what I want to see from Cozens, how can you not get excited for this season?

Gotta show the rest of the NHL the Sabres aren't taking no crap, so I don't mind seeing Tage in the box some games to begin the season until the message is loud and clear.

UPL looked really good, TT and Olofsson looking like they are ready to go. The Sabres could surprise this season if all this youth breaks out.
