  1. Saddest part of the whole thing is Dumbleavy taking over full-time in 22-23. 😞
  2. Good read if you have an Athletic subscription https://theathletic.com/2779942/2021/08/19/sabres-season-tickets-have-become-a-tough-sell-its-just-been-so-sad-for-so-long/?source=user_shared_article
  3. ...and Anderson, and Tokarski, and Houser, and UPL.
  4. Just because UPL might be better than all the crap KA signed, that are posing as goaltending competition, does not mean he is NHL ready.
  5. It wasn't the fact that they were doing it, it was the timing. They could have easily initiated the "shrinkage" during a stop in play, but nope....they repeatedly did it while play was going on.
  6. I agree. In the grand scheme of things, considering what has happened to this team over the last decade under Pegula ownership, this ad thing on the jerseys is nothing more than a blip on the radar.
  7. If I changed my name to Derek Roy, do you think they would do a background check, or just put me on the gravy train?
  8. Now I’m getting angry. Have these two served their time with the youth hockey academy...or are they being fast tracked to the land of Pegula-Bucks without serving their penance? 😂
  9. Well...he already did a great job on the HSBC tower, has made the outside of the Statler look like it is open instead of abandoned, and took over the Hotel Henry and refunded wedding deposits to all couples who were stiffed by the prior owner. Not sure what other WNY projects are on his radar. [edited].... https://buffalonews.com/business/local/douglas-jemal-moves-full-speed-ahead-on-bevy-of-buffalo-projects/article_cab12e4c-ce20-11eb-a68d-afcda413165a.html ...and I had his name spelled wrong in my prior post. Oops. 😱
  10. On a somewhat related note, Doug Jemal has done more for Buffalo development, than the Pegula’s ever will. The guy is really underrated.
  11. Even a blind squirrel eventually... Nevermind.
  12. Maybe I’m just blocking out how pitiful he was last year. 😂
  13. I am too, but Eakin is not in the top 10 problems with this team right now.
  14. Who cares. He is no longer a Sabres and during his time here the team was terrible. Here’s hoping Florida misses the playoffs.
  15. You mean since the start of the off-season or right now? Regardless...if his plan is the current group for 21-22, he gets an “F” grade, for the 2nd straight offseason....in terms of addressing the goalie position.
  16. How will the optimists feel if the season starts with the current pile of crap in the crease masquerading as NHL goaltenders? Will you still have confidence in KA?
  17. It was a dumb thing to say by KA. There is no way you can ice a lineup of inexperience every game. They will get caved in on most nights, and IMO that is not a positive in terms of player development.
  18. I agree, and mentioned this in the goalie thread(or somewhere else), and will stand firm. If the season opens, with any combo of the 5 goalies currently under contract on the big boy roster, it’s a tank, and I think it will be a big mistake.
  19. Is this Terry, Kim, or one of the bad baseball cap designers?
  20. No one has to worry about seeing Jack at training camp. He is either going to be traded by then, or injured and still fighting with the organization over surgery options. To quote Dean Wormer...there will be “0.0” chance he will be on the ice.
  21. Before training camp begins, Jack needs to be traded, have the surgery the Sabres prefer, or convince them to let him have the surgery option he prefers. This mexican standoff has to end...and end soon.
  22. But my question is when would taking on a cap dump or retaining part of Jack’s cap hit, ever be a help to the Sabres? Unless you are referring to it meaning the return would be greater if the Sabres accepted a dump or salary retention
