  1. Yes. There are my thoughts that it should be completed quicker, and then as you stated above...there is reality.
  2. It's all about the size of the construction crews. Throw enough manpower at a project, and the timeline will always be shortened. Considering the state of the current stadium, I would think it is in their best interest to want the new stadium completed sooner rather than later.
  3. Also, the lower the capacity the higher the prices will go, and PSL's for most if not all seats. Don't be surprised if they shoot for the moon with suite, club seats, and regular seats prices(all including PSL's), and then drop the price down when seats go unsold...and don't expect discounted concessions like they implemented in the Mercedes Benz dome in Atlanta. Be prepared for jaw dropping prices. Thankfully all games are on TV now, so for those who choose you can have a nice party at home each week, and have a beautiful end of season vacation versus the cost of season tickets. šŸ˜‚
  4. 2027? šŸ˜‚ You are building in a parking lot across the street from the stadium, and yet it will still take 6 years to negotiate the deal with the state and county, put the job out to bid, and build it? I know these are not small task, but 5-6 years? Very NYS like. If we are lucky Josh Allen will still be a Bill by the time this gets completed.
  5. Every time I read KA wants 4 or more pieces, it makes me want to bang my head against the wall. If the primary piece is fantastic, would KA say, ā€œyeah, but I still want 5 more piecesā€? If KA is really throwing this requirement out there, he is an idiot.
  6. Scott...I sent you dmā€™s with both my yahoo and gmail accounts, but havenā€™t seen an invite yet. Hope I didnā€™t miss it.
  7. I'd be willing to take a team in the 2nd league also...if that would help!
  8. This really does reek of a money grab...and will be a 90% or greater Leaf crowd.
  9. Not sure what you are implying? Football stadium/hockey arena all under one roof?
  10. If Eichel and his doctor are so confident in this disc replacement surgery, go against the Sabres wishes, have the surgery and if the Sabres void his contract, he will be good to go heath wise(or so he believes), and will be able to sign with whatever team he wishes...even if he has to sign a 1 year prove it deal. If not, two choices... 1. Retire 2. STFU and follow advice of Sabres team doctors.
  11. ...and Iā€™m not the kind of owner that abandons his team if things go south. šŸ˜‰
  12. Unemployment benefits need to go back to the way it used to be. Prove that you are looking for and canā€™t find work, or you get zero benefits. šŸ˜”
  13. What the heck does ā€œclassic rebuildā€ mean? Bottom line, in a league where half the teams make the playoffs, if a GM canā€™t have a team in the playoffs(or very close) after two offseasons of roster building, he needs to be shown the door.
  14. Was Duchene ā€œbrokenā€ at the time they were attempting to trade him? KA has two choices...sell him now for pennies on the dollar(i.e. forget about Zegras, Boldy, Rossi, Krebs, Byfield, etc...), or hold onto him, resolve the surgery dispute, and trade him when healthy. IMO...I donā€™t care anymore. Eichel is not going to be a Sabre going forward. Trade him now or trade him later. Just canā€™t get too worked up about it.
  15. Exactly. IMO...there never was a massive trade offer. If so, he would have been traded by now. Broken Jack is the biggest reason why he is still a Sabre...he is still broken. šŸ˜±
  16. Iā€™m waitlisted back to last year. Iā€™m still interested if there are any openings
  17. That is KAā€™s job to figure out. He canā€™t use the crutch of we suck and no one wants to play here. BS.
  18. ...and you know this how? If KA feels happy with his choices in goal, and this is how the team will start the season in goal, he should be fired just prior to Game 1. That is unless the plan is to tank via the crease...in that case, he will be patting himself on the back for a job well done.
  19. Have you seen the goaltenders signed for 21-22?
  20. ...and that still lands the Sabres in the bottom 5 with the talent(or lack there of) on this team currently.
  21. I can respect your optimism, but unless the goaltending is upgraded, and assuming Jack is gone, this is a bottom 5 team(maybe bottom 2), no matter how you slice it. [edited]The coaches "system" only works when you have talented players to execute it.
  22. The good thing is, the Rangers arenā€™t trading said ā€œmediocreā€ player for broken Jack, so you have nothing to worry about. šŸ˜‰
  23. I think if this was a formal offer, the deal would have been done already.
  24. ...just a follow-up. It has nothing to do with the impossible job of following a legend...he just is not my cup of tea. Biggest flaw...refuses to remember that he is doing a radio/tv simulcast. Not everyone is watching on TV. 2nd biggest flaw, using players first and last names during PbP. Unless one of the teams has players of the same last name, it is annoying and completely unnecessary. All this being said, Iā€™m sure in the decision makers eyes, he has been a good soldier waiting for RJ to step aside, and he will now be given the full-time gig for as long as he wants it.
