Thinking about Power signing a long term deal with the Sabres. I know he is only 1 season in, and has a long way to go, buy why would he sign long term with the Sabres, knowing he is never(short of Dahlin being injured) going to get the PP1 time that would allow him to rack up the stats, and in turn get paid like a true #1 dman?

I am done watching any streaming series until it is announced that the series is over. These lengthy pauses between seasons are annoying. Not the only example, but I started watching Mayor of Kingstown over the winter. Got all caught up with season 2 ending this spring. Now I just read that season 3 might not air until 2025. WTF. How many players in the past with Cincinnati were under contract to either the Sabres or Amerks? I don’t pay close attention, but I would guess maybe 1/3…6-7 players.

I would be shocked if it played out like this. IMO Clifton was signed to be on the 2nd pairing with Power, and Johnson on the 3rd pair.

Seriously? You just stated he was hired June 2020. First off the offseason starts each year with FA on July 1. So that is 2020, 2021, 2022, and now 2023. That makes this his 4th off-season. To quote Shawshank Redemption, stop being obtuse.
