Same prediction as Tuesday...Buffalo 4 Montreal 1 Go Sabres!!!!!
-
-Another big road win for the Sabres. -Screw you Habs fans and your stupid chant "ole, ole, ole..." or whatever it is your chanting. -Anybody notice Fitzpatrick last night? No? That's because he is playing better the last few games since replacing Kalinin. -I'm still being cautious about Miller, but I'm starting to believe this guy can carry the Sabres come playoff time. -I've said it all year and last night was a perfect example. You don't want Campbell on the blueline come playoff time. He was directly responsible for both goals. First one, has was dogging it on the backcheck after an ill advised pinch. Second one, he has just caught napping as Kovolev got behind him. Dress him as a 7th defenseman for the PP, but do not use him in the regular rotation come playoff time. -Good to see Max bury a couple. He's the only Sabre you can cheer for and scream at in the same shift. :) -Anybody else feel Tallinder is quietly becoming the Sabres best overall defenseman? -His timing is bad(so far), but I like the fact that I have seen Vanek go down to attempt a shot block several times over the last couple of games. -Pound the Habs back in Buffalo, get the Florida monkey off our back and then off to Carolina for a showdown before the break! GO SABRES! GO SABRES! GO SABRES!

Here's hoping for deja vu tonight! -
Biron or Miller starting? Doesn't matter...Sabres win 4-1.
-
-Who says the shootout is boring? I was standing up in my living room during the whole thing. Crowd sounded like they were really into it. -That was one of the worst OT's I have ever seen. It's almost like both teams wanted it to go to a shootout. -Hasek is still the man and played like a 30 year old, not a 40+ something goalie. -I thought Ottawa's best player last night was Schaefer. The guy was hitting everything in sight the entire game. -What can you say about Vanek and that shot....WOW! -The Sabres really shut down Alfredsson, Heatley and Spezza. I'd love for the Sabres to give it a shot and try to skate with Ottawa, but if playing this style gets us two points, all the more power to Lindy. -Gaustad showed last night why you want players like him on your team come playoff time. He was hitting, had a couple of chances and you could just tell that he raised the level of his play up a notch. GO SABRES!!!!!!

Sabres win tonight 4-2. Miller stands on his head.

According to the Senators website, Hasek is getting the start tonight.

I loved Eddie Shack as he skated behind his own net with the puck like an out of control locomotive heading toward the opposing teams zone. Great early memories! -

In case anyone is wondering, here is what happened to Hamister's "money man" Todd Berman... http://www.usdoj.gov/usao/nys/Press%20Rele...0chartwell' -
-I thought Fitzpatrick played a solid game which was near his level of play from two years ago. We really need him to step up and play well over the next two weeks leading up to the Olympic break. -I wonder if Drury is hurting a bit. I've noticed his play has tailed off recently and I'm not referring to points, but more his general play. He seems like the kind of guy that when wearing the "C", that he wants to get out there and lead by example even when hurting. -Nice goal by Pyatt. Stick your nose in the front of the net and good things will happen to a player with your size. -Hey Darcy...SIGN MILLER TO AN EXTENSION NOW!!!! -Some of the refs are pitiful! -Ottawa needs to be put in their place on Saturday...GO SABRES!!!
-
-Kudos to all the transplanted Sabres fans at the game. It sounded like there were at least a couple of thousand of them. -Game was very similar to the Toronto game in that the Sabres were loosy goosy in their own end for a period and a half and then came out and dominated the third period. The Sabres will really have to play better to beat Philadelphia, Ottawa and Carolina who are all coming up in the next week and a half. -Miller was freakin' outstanding. -Time to give Tallinder his due. Not only has he been playing solid in his own end, but somewhere along the line, he became a nice option for lugging the puck out of his own end. -I've noticed Vanek has been giving a better effort and even playing a little physcial since being paired with Drury and Grier. Nice move Lindy. -Pominville continues to show that he wants to be in the lineup come playoff time. I thought he was a one dimensional player(goal scorer) who was on the slow side. Instead, I continue to see a guy who's playing both ends of the rink and doesn't appear to be that slow to be. What a great example for "making the most of a chance". -Great to see Dumont blow by the defenseman and bury that shot upstairs. Go Sabres!!!!!!!!!!

WTF is up with the cameraman when Atlanta goes on the PP. You see the ice and about half the crowd. Thanks for the super wide angle shot, but I'd focus more on following the puck. <_<

Thanks for jogging my memory. The Sabres fans have been privileged to have two all-time greats in the booth...Ted Darling & Ric Jeanneret. The only low point in Sabres play by play announcer history is when John Gurtler held the TV job for a couple of years. I don't know where is he is now and I don't really care. Freakin' terrible is an understatement. -
 LabattBlue never drinks Miller. Now what was I saying about Biron... Let's finish off this road trip with a good effort against Atlanta and then come on home boys. In a completed unrelated sidenote, my 3 most hated Leafs... It's a dead heat...Sundin, Tucker & Domi.
-
Everybody has their favorites...right. ;) In case you can't tell mine happens to be Miller. B-)
-
7 Sabres with 2 points each tonight. Balanced scoring at its best.
-
The only thing better would have been pounding them 8-4 at HSBC and seeing all those Leaf fans crying on the way back to their cars with a long ride home in front of them. :)
-
Biron had his shot over the last three seasons and proved that he is nothing more than a middle of the pack #1 goalie. He can play great in spurts(earlier this year), just as easily as he can be Mr. Mediocre. He is a bonehead handling the puck, is horrible at times in terms of being in the correct position/angle and is down on his knees way too early and way too often. If that is interpreted as giving him no respect, then so be it. I call it, like I see it.
-
What's your point? You'd rather have Biron than Miller? I've got news for you...without Miller tonight the score might have been 8-4 with toronto winning.
-
I hate f***ing Sundin. What a cheap shot artist.
-
Roy was equally to blame. He made a half hearted effort to back check the goal scorer.
-
Pominville impressed me near the end of the period. The puck was along the boards in the Sabres end, Pominville went after it, knew he was going to get crushed, but still stuck his nose in there and got the puck out of the zone. Not something you'd expect from a young player known more for his offense.
-
Teppo's out tonight too! hamstring
-
Go Sabres... Buffalo 5 Toronto 2
-
Not trying to nitpick but Briere has missed 24 out of the 48 games the Sabres have played. 50%. ;)
