Crazy game. I don't think Miller is going down more than he usually does, but he whiffed on at least one of those shots and a couple of others were rang in off the post. Not making excuses for Miller, 5 goals against in 2 periods is downright awful.

Sabres keep rolling. Just can't pick against them. Buffalo 3 Philadelphia 2 in OT.

Exciting game that brought back memories of the 70's when the Sabres could almost score at will. Good to see that on a night when Miller was not at the top of his game, that the Sabres could go toe-to-toe with an offensice machine. My favorite part of a game like this is when WGR replays all of the goals the next morning. It's an RJ festival!! :)

Tough call as to who dresses if 2nd round pick makes it to Buffalo by game time... Peters or 2nd round pick? :rolleyes:

It was a close game, but one that made me feel like it should have been 6-1 Sabres instead of 3-2. They were hitting, had a ton of scoring chances, played solid in their own end and came out with a W. PS Jochen Hecht is quietly up to 17 goals on his way to a very solid season. Speaking of unsung heros, I think he fits the bill for the current team. PS2 Fitzpatrick is getting a bit of a bad rap here. He is a +2 since 1/1. I am not saying he is a top 4 blueliner, but I don't mind him as a number 6 or 7. His play in his own zone is better than Cambell, but a lot of people want to overlook this because of Campbell's PP contributions. GO SABRES!!

This trade pissed me off as Johansson had a pretty solid career lasting FIFTEEN years with Washington.

The guys on WGR earlier this afternoon said they spoke with Paul Hamilton who said that Marty was getting the start tonight.

I loved Eddie Shack during his short stay with the Sabres, but you talk about a trade that had a major impact on the Sabres franchise for many years. WOW!!!

Derek Roy's play now compared to the start of the season is a perfect example of letting a player build some confidence. If the NHL continues it's infraction crackdown into the future, Roy will be a 2nd line Sabres center for many years to come. By the time all is said and done, we might even retire his number. :lol:

Lafontaine and Mogilny were unstoppable that year. It was a season long highlight reel. Lafontaine's injuries prevented him from having a long and productive career as a Sabre. :(

Carolina really poured it on in the 3rd period and in OT. Considering the travel circumstances and going against the #1 team in the conference, I'll take the point. Trade Mika or trade Marty, but Lindy has to find a way to work the #2 goalie into the rotation come March. If not, Miller will be burned out by playoff time.

Glad to see the Sabres steal a point, but that was UGLY. Considering that Kovalev has terrorized the Sabres for two games, don't you think they should have been paying just a wee bit of attention to him during the overtime? That was about as uninspired as you can get. Anybody else annoyed by Jim Lorentz when he says about the opposing team..."You have to give them credit, blah, blah, blah..." instead of criticizing the play of the Sabres when it is warranted.

I will not be there tonight, but if any Montreal fans in attendance try to start that STUPID "ole ole" chant, they are to be immediately drowned out with a chant of "LET'S GO BUF-FA-LO"!!
