  1. Yep and the normal UPL (last year and the 2 years before) ranked like 60th in most important goalie stats.
  2. It's easy blame the goalie when he should have given up 2 goals and led us to a 5-2 victory (empty net). FCK you Power b6tching - he was fine today and was a direct result of one of our goals. He's an easy target but was very good today. Puck jumped on him in ot, tage couldn't get back in time and UPL choked per usual
  3. Going to be glass half full - Team looked very very good. Getting Benson back changed 100% how this team plays. Once we get Kesselring in the lineup for Metsa (nice story but he's an AHL player) and Greenway in for the other AHL guy who played tonight and this team is going to be hard to beat. UPL is garbage and always really has been and whomever decided to give him his "training camp" work today vs Toronto is idiotic (adams? ruff? goalie coach?). Big risk is if Lyon regresses, which is a real possibility. Still, I rather get rid of UPL and roll with Lyon and Ellis with Levi as a safety net
  4. positive - good loser point and we most of the game and certainly OT - 5 grade 1 chances but puked all over themselves on every one. f%ck off UPL - maybe overreacting but he has sucked his whole life except for a 3 month period. Make s GDFing big save for once - and that 3rd goal was absolute garbage. Trade him for anything or if there are no takers, send him down to Rochester and see if someone claims him - absolutely addition by subtraction. Team shouldn't lose when playing this well cuz of an ECHL level goalie
  5. I wanted this guy: New Jersey Luke Hughes
  6. Appert? You mean the guy that spent every waking hour of the offseason studying successful PP units. Note: sabres have started out something like 0-11. We can't do better than this?
  7. Boston scored on themselves, total fluke goal. Krebs missed a wide open net, other than that not a ton of chances. The seem afraid to go in the dirty areas around the net, everything is perimeter
  8. agreed - best players have been missing in action - horrible. Doan, to me, was the most noticeable forward on the ice. All tage is doing is 50 ft wristers with no chances to score, missing the net on other shots, and giving away the puck countless times. As for Tuch, I haven't noticed him on the ice at all
  9. and these 4 periods have been against two 2024 non-playoff who weren't supposed to be good this year. there are really no words....
  10. Not getting a #1 "bonified" goalie is bad, but taking a chance on this guy is not idiotic. Idiotic would have been going with Georgiev as your #2
  11. We gave up 0 goals and dominated play and physicality in the last 2 periods. Defense coverage from the defense and forwards was excellent. Easiest shutout I've seen in a long time. Didn't notice Doan, but honestly I didn't notice a lot of the Forwards. #15 and # 44 were noticeable. Kesselring was excellent (Power looked very comfortable with him), as was Byrum. Strange seeing the Sabres jam the front of the net (caused the first 2 goals). Have a gut feeling Geogiev (spelling) might be out game 1 starter. Early on, but he's now gone 4 period without allowing a goal. Georgiev has had 2 NHL season that has dwarfed anything Lyon and UPL has done. Maybe a smart signing by Adams??
  12. only Pre-season, but playing with 1/3 or so of your NHL team, they played a really tough game tonight. Really dominated the last 2 periods. Kesselring stood out, as did Byrum
  13. Congratulations?
