I never knew much about him besides the obvious until the special on him aired this past weekend. It really humanized him for me. I remember him on the Thanksgiving games back when I was a kid after dinner at grandma's house. Great memories. RIP, John.

He comes across as a quietly humble guy. I hope that he continues to build on last week.

I echo these thoughts. Plus, who knows if any more players become infected with COVID. That could keep these three up here even longer, regardless. I'm just looking forward to seeing a bit of the future sooner than expected.

CBS showed him on the sideline late in the game, it may have been after we went up 33-21, and he had the most pathetic frown on his face. I laughed so hard, I could barely breathe.

I was always a fan of his. My favorite part of his game was the beating he would take in front of the net game after game.

After following the Sabres through a desert of malaise the last few years, I'll latch onto any positive development, even if it bleeds into overreaction. Will Owen Power translate to the NHL? I have no idea. All I do know is that he's in our pipeline and that fills me with hope. Right now, hope is all I've got, even if it's that of a fool.
