  1. A little dance along the boards to start it off. I missed hockey, for sure.
  2. Well, you have to give him credit for at least attempting humility. That's, unfortunately, a rare commodity in sport these days.
  3. Unfortunately, the yellow pages is now the size of a menu at some of our more adventurous eating establishments.
  4. I really try to avoid generalizations in life, but I get swept up into this at times. Now that KA seems to be assembling a real team (analytically, etc.), maybe we can begin to consistently hit on our picks, top to bottom. It feels a bit hopeless and like a crap shoot when we've had who we've had in key leadership positions, even in the recent past.
  5. <Sigh> I hope to visit that beautiful city someday. I've had friends rave about it there.
  6. It's purely lake effect. It's how we roll.
  7. I can't stop, either. Something about the principle or some other BS that I tell myself.
  8. I'm proud of him for standing up, but his face will be feeling that this morning.
  9. You just can't coach that. You either have it or you don't. Plays like this remind me why I live and die for hockey, even when the Sabres sometimes make me forget.
  10. After getting a taste of him in the abbreviated World Juniors, I'm all in on seeing him in the Olympics.
  11. I liked his everyman style his first go around. If he can help the kids out in addition to adding depth, I'd take a flyer on him for another season.
  12. Now that's some funny ****. Thank you.
  13. On a related note, Bill Hajt was my favorite former member of the Cincinnati Swords to play for the Sabres. In my opinion, a seriously underrated stay at home D-man.
  14. Yikes. I admire his candor, but this is obviously not good. It makes me wonder how long it is before McDavid wants out. I really thought, a couple of years back, that the Oilers were on the cusp of something.
  15. He certainly has the size to give other PK units fits. I'm certainly on board with his role to this point.
  16. He had a solid game against the Falcons. We drafted him to be much more than he's shown thus far. If he strings a few of these games along, then the accolades will follow.
  17. After the numbers he put up in the WHA, I was so excited when the Sabres acquired him. By then, though, his career was a fart in the wind.
  18. That they weren't. All those injuries during the '06 playoffs bore that out.
  19. Vanek and Pommer. God, I miss those Sabres from the late oughts.
  20. I just hope they stay safe and are able to make it through without any long term effects. One of my co-workers is on oxygen after his bout from weeks earlier. Any word on call ups, if any, for Thursday?
  21. Me, too. I love the Bills and would be devastated if they left, but I've always loved our community more. I'd love to see those taxpayer dollars spent building our entire area and not just one asset.
  22. I had no trust in the Bills at that time to build a winner. When the head coach came here talking about process, I just wanted him to shut up. So, I fell for all of the "experts" who said that Josh was a raw project who couldn't make it in the NFL. I've never been so happy to not know what the hell I'm talking about.
  23. They are the Browns after all. As moribund of a franchise as the Bills were during the drought, we never quite sank to the sewage addled depths of that dumpster fire.
