Tage Thompson and Peyton Krebs clear Covid Protocol
Dreams Burn Down replied to Brawndo's topic in The Aud Club
I'd like to see him for a couple more up here, if possible. -
I'm using the above as my template: 1st Line: Dahlin/Jokiharju 2nd Line: Power/Bryson 3rd Line: Samuelsson/Miller 4th Line: Hagg/Fitzgerald The rest would look better as AHL depth to me. Prow and Butcher are last resorts only. It's a thin group to be sure, but it's just the beginning of this rebuild. If KA does this correctly, there will be no shortcuts.

This team's problem is not a lack of talent
Dreams Burn Down replied to Doohicksie's topic in The Aud Club
I agree. I'll go further and say that Dahlin is only scratching the surface of his potential. RK really set the kid back. As this season has progressed, what I'm seeing is him relearning how to trust his instincts, again. -
The list was subversively good, but "fog" was great. Honorable mention to "tissue paper".

I think that, whatever the statistic, deeper, more talented teams will be able to weather COVID protocols better. Every team is dealing with it to some degree, yes, but we simply do not yet have the depth to successfully overcome it. -

I think that the ability to battle through the physical gauntlet was what impressed me most. I was out for blood, but they, wisely, retaliated very little and played an emotionally mature brand of hockey that, frankly, I'm not used to seeing from this group. They did not wither and die from the pressure, but seemed to feed off of it. The addition of the three players you cited played a crucial part, but, ultimately, it was up to the group to prove to themselves that they could do it. Also, what really impressed me was how beautifully fluid a game Skinner plays when he is on point. Games like that are what I was hoping for when the Sabres backed up the Brinks truck for him. I hope to see more. Finally, Aaron Dell was efficient and solid, as well. Obviously, we'll see what more he's got in his game (based on his past performance, I was expecting nothing) very soon, but that check that he threw seemed to energize our entire bench. It's only one victory in another, apparently, woebegotten season, but it feels so satisfying. -
I thought about Ryan Miller, as well, but your point is well taken. It's been quite awhile that we've been wandering through this desert.

The Sabres certainly deserved this. Hell, we deserved this! I can now sleep well for one night at least. -

Okposo and Tuch seem like a steadying influence on this team, as well. -

So, they're laying us out all over the place. Eakin takes out one check and a penalty is called. -

Well, I thought a bit about that post as the ceiling can cave in at any moment, but I thought he looked competent that period. -
