I see it similarly. I want to see more toughness and grit in our defense, but I can say that about our entire current on-ice roster. IMO, until we are able to establish a true replacement for Ryan Miller in net, we will not advance to any meaningful next steps.

Thank you for this. RJ is still a delight to listen to. I was at work with audio only yesterday and it really gave me a chance to focus in on the rhythm and cadence of his call. I will dearly miss him. I'm hoping beyond hope that he changes his mind and comes back for ten or so games next season.

I'm leaning more toward this way of thinking with each passing game. I've wanted to see each of these players up here for at least a few games just to see where they are in their development, Samuelsson being the latest example. I'm beginning to feel, however, that there is little to be gained for any of our prospects by being here this season. Honestly, entertainment and hope have also been motivations for seeing these guys up here this year. With the exception of injuries or COVID, let the kids develop with the Amerks this season.

We could certainly use that toughness this season.

Since Ryan Miller left, we've had a cavalcade of has-beens, washouts, and also-rans in goal. It's almost akin to the revolving door at quarterback for the Bills between the tenures of JK and JA.
