McKee was my favorite defenseman from that era. He was a tough and selfless player. He and Warrener were one of my favorite defensive pairings in Sabre history. The two of them were never flashy; they were just stalwarts back there.

I remember Darcy hemorrhaging at someone in the booth upstairs. He was so animated that I thought his pointing was going to take the monitor off of the wall. I also remember Lindy saying something to Bettman and being given a "how dare you" look. I've been advised by people to let No Goal vanish with the passage of time, but I'll take that grudge with me to my grave.

I'd still like to see a bit of retroactive payback, for that slash by Gallagher on opening night, the next time we play MTL. I'm petty that way.

As much as I dearly loved Foligno, one of my favorite Sabres, trading those two away was a gross miscalculation by Scotty. From a cohesion standpoint alone, Gare and Schony brought a lot to the table.

People would have been camped out in front of Scotty's home and internet sleuths would have been searching for the last time that he so much as farted wrong.

Thanks to you and @Broken Ankles, my bloodlust has been sated for the evening.

Knowing how far that the NHL has lagged behind the greater sporting world with regard to racial inclusion, this honor was as necessary as it was appropriate.

IMHO, our team still needs to earn the honor of wearing our current crest on their sweaters. Once they do that, then ask me about the goat heads; which I would have liked in our current color scheme as a third next season.

I wish that Jim Matheson was here to question our players after some of our losses and efforts over the last decade. That was a delightfully uncomfortable exchange.
