I've always considered it one the more cerebral sit-coms. There was some great writing there.

When I saw the thread title, the first thing that I remembered was game 3 of the first round in 1979 when George Ferguson scored in OT to knock us out. I was sitting at the right scoreboard in the Sabres end when Bob Sauve got beat. It was my first taste of in-person Sabres playoff disappointment. Those were different times, when making the playoffs was not only expected, but gauging how far our playoff run would last was part of the fun.

My concern is, how many more "next years" will there be?

It was a different game, then. The stick-swinging prior the cross-check to the face would have drawn a much more severe response from both sides in Gare's day, let alone the cross-check itself. It would have been a line brawl, at the very least.

I agree with your last sentence. I don't want the second line disturbed, right now. They've quieted down the last couple of games, but they've earned a shot at staying together for, at least, the short-term future.

After last night, I'd like them to try VO, for tonight. He has sniping ability and can be a playmaker, too.

I hope that this doesn't cause the Sabres to temper their pugilistic efforts. The fact that they seem to be a brotherhood and have each others' backs has not been lost on me. Time and place are considerations, of course, but keep it up, boys. I want to see more of it tonight. The Pens will not have forgotten.

You're not crazy, but this team has many flaws to overcome to qualify for the playoffs this season. At the bare minimum, they cannot have another significant losing streak for the remainder of the season.

I wish that they could have buried a couple in the first 20-25 minutes when we were so dominant in their end. We just seemed to stagnate as the game progressed. We need more discipline with our emotions; that is certain.
