Maybe the Sabres can be miraculous tonight… and by miraculous I mean scoring a few goals in the third period.

Is it me or does Keybank look even more empty than normal? And by normal I mean around 8K in attendance.

Fellow Red Sox fan? It happens man.. but would you change a thing about 2004? Or 2007, 2013 & 2018. Life is ok.

A friend of mine goes to Vegas and Atlantic City every chance he gets. He sits at a poker table with a bunch of strangers who do their best to bluff and deceive each other out of money. Whoa! What a great time. He once missed his kids birthday because he couldn’t help himself but to go that weekend. Going once in a while is one thing but when he isn’t there in person, he’s on some gambling app walking around always complaining about a hand. He visited me out here on the west coast and couldn’t help himself but to go to a local casino. Came back at 7 in the morning wired and I could tell he just wanted to go straight back but to his credit.. he didn’t. It’s a sickness. Nerves are shot, stress thru the roof, shakes, eye twitches. All par for the course.

Enjoy the game. Hopefully they come out firing! Wish I could go but I’m not local.

This is the wrong decision imo but I’m hoping for the best. Maybe the boys will play sound defense in front of this kid and give him a chance to shine tonight.

Agree with your take on rivalries and how things have changed. Players come and go so often that it becomes mind numbing. The Red Sox, Sabres & Bills .. it’s a way of life!!! I’ve been lucky enough to see the Red Sox win four World Series championships. Sure it’s sports and at the end of the day it plays second fiddle but man.. winning big games and having memories of great plays in high pressure moments.. that’s what I recall most. Buffalo needs to experience winning. Long overdue.

You’re probably right but the situation at the Keybank Center is dire and will get worse before it gets better. If ownership has no issue with an empty.. no, not two-thirds full, not half full.. but an EMPTY arena on a regular basis, then that’s precisely what they will have. The fan base seems to be split about what is happening this season. You have the camp that believes in this GM and is muttering “patience” and then you have the “I’m all out of patience” contingent. I find myself somewhere in the middle..

Ha! Well it’s tough to argue against the Bruin’s history. They have plenty of that. Orr, Esposito, Bourque, Neely… Not a fan of the Canadiens nor the Bruins but as a hockey fan it’s too bad that Montreal is brutal this season. Those Bruin/Canadien games are always fun to watch. Rivalries pull a lot of people into a sport. It’s just that simple. The passion is contagious and you can’t help wanting to be a part of that. I will say that Boston lives, breathes and drinks sports. It’s similar to Philly, NY, Detroit, Buffalo.. the mood of those cities are inspired by how their sports teams are doing. and yes.. the Flyers do suck, RIGHT NOW! But I still love that team. 🤷🏼‍♂️ (Unless they play the Sabres). Philadelphia is my favorite east coast city to visit because of all the historical areas that tie into our Declaration of Independence… and those cheesesteaks man! Give me Pierogi’s, Wings & Cheesesteaks for the rest of my life and I’ll be a happy man! The Sabres, Flyers, Bills & Red Sox. Those are my teams. I’ve always loved to root for the underdog. Man I hope the Sabres FO knows what it’s doing right now. I’m running out of excuses to tell my eight year old.

They tied it late to send it into OT yesterday only to lose in the SO. Losing is like a darn disease.

Liking both the Bruins & Canadiens has to be virtually impossible. I’m sure that some people like both of those teams but I could never begin to understand how.

I started paying attention to the NHL in the early 90s. I know that liking the Bruins as a Sabres fan is a no no but perhaps to a lesser extent the same is true for the Flyers. Truth is that if you play any other team often enough it will create a spirited affair now and again. 🤷🏼‍♂️ Both the Sabres and Flyers are in the trash can now anyway so.. it’s painful.

Ha! Always had a soft spot for them for some reason.. maybe it’s the logo or maybe it’s because of those damn cheesesteaks! But yeah.. they are in absolute shambles right now. Playing again today with an interim coach. Yikes.

If last nights game was any indication, that team has thrown in the towel.

Good Lord did the Flyers get hammered tonight. My second favorite team at that.. my eight year old roots for them because he loves orange. Turns to me and says.. “Dad, the Sabres and the Flyers have cool logos but they’re both so awful!” 🤣 I turned to him and said.. “Don’t worry man. We’re gunna get thru this!”
