  1. It's not just Sabres games, though. Happens in pretty much every game I try to watch. Our TV is only 2 years old. If I do a "cold restart" (hold power button until tv powers down & back on) that'll sometimes fix it for a short time, but it always goes to ***** again within about 10-15 mins. Like you, only app I have an issue with.
  2. Why does it suck? Picture is glitchy/fluctuating resolution. Sound frequently drops out for 10-15 seconds. Only streaming service I have issues with.
  3. Time for my daily complaint about what a piece of trash ESPN+ is. So is Norris ever gone actually play another game? Great trade, Kev.
  4. Trying to decide whether or not to watch. On the one hand, I love watching hockey and for all their faults this is still my team (somehow). On the other, way more often than not I just end up frustrated after watching them. Feels like a game time decision.
  5. Few can match? Nobody can match this current run of futility. This is the longest running playoff drought in NHL history and there's no end in sight.
  6. Avoiding a dysentery outbreak in the locker room would be cool.
  7. Exactly. We see the same dumb stuff over and over and over again. This has to be lowest collective hockey-IQ bunch in league history. I love Rob Ray, but he ain't exactly spending his free time digesting "Ulysses" and even HE was screaming "GIVE UP THE PUCK." That was basic hockey stuff. And nobody did anything. Scoring on ourselves was just the icing on the stupid cake. I'm still stunned...and I don't know how that's even possible at this point.
  8. Third period recap: *image removed* Sorry to anybody I offended.
  9. My biggest complaint? When I was 12 I chose to root for the Sabres. ***** idiot.
  10. Fire ***** everybody. Burn it down. Salt the ***** earth. JFC
  11. For a new hockey market, this is a rather subdued crowd.
  12. Can somebody tape Reimer's stick to him? Ugh, dumb penalty.
  13. Sabres have been feistier the past couple of weeks. Obviously read us all calling them a bunch of Mary's. Hey, Lafferty registered a stat. Not one you want, unfortunately.
  14. Early on he looked like a good stay at home defenseman who was responsible in his own end. That's what got him this contract, but once again, it was Adams falling in love with the "potential" of his young core and handing out a contract without waiting to see how that player built on early promise. I have zero doubt if he's moved that he will become a very good 2nd or 3rd pairing defenseman because most other teams in this league know how to develop talent. The Sabres approach seems to be "oh, you look like you could be pretty good, have at it kid!" without any actual thought or consideration given to how to develop that talent. The weight/expectations of that contract, along with failing to surround him with good veteran player(s) to learn from has stunted his development. We're seeing the same thing with Power. Frankly, it's a miracle (and a testament to his ability) that Dahlin has become as good as he is. Imagine where he'd be if he had a proper organization to develop him...
  15. Hmmmm, interesting question. Pasta is a legit top-10 star in this league, Tage is more like top-25, maybe top-20. I would take Dahlin over McAvoy. Not by much, but I would. Especially long term. Better supporting cast? From a pure individual talent standpoint right now, tonight, I'd say the Sabres. Tuch, Peterka, Norris (if healthy), Benson, Kulich, McLeod. Zucker is Bruins kind of player, need more like him. I'd take those guys straight up over Zacha, Lindholm, Geekie, Lohrei, Zadorov. Better coaching? B's probably get the edge overall, but I don't particularly think much of Sacco as a bench boss. They can, and probably will, do better. Culture? This is a slaughter. The Bruins have been a very good team for 15+ years. A lot of people wrote them off going into 2022/23 and they had the greatest regular season in league history. Stretched it another season into last year before age caught up to them. Like you said earlier, they have a winning culture. Unless we make big adjustments to the front office/coaching, watch who retools faster. Wildcard for them is a lot of that continuity (Bergeron, Marchand, etc.) is now gone. How much did they take with them? Uniforms? I'm biased, but I love the royal blue & gold kits and we have the best logo in the NHL.
  16. When the B's trotted Mitts and Joki out there together I had a sense of overwhelming dread. But not tonight, Satan.
  17. Thank God. I was gonna be salty if they couldn't beat a lousy Bruins team in OT with a man advantage.
