I expressed my doubts when he was hired. It felt like a nostalgia hire. But I held out hope that maybe a vet coach like Lindy could whip these kids into shape. It's quite clear now it was the wrong move. Not saying this is Lindy's fault by any stretch, but he obviously isn't getting through to these guys and I don't see how that changes at this point. It's too late to be early. -
It's incomprehensible to me that mostly this same group of players (or at least same core) really looked like an emerging team late in the 2022/23 season. They looked crisp, confident, and were beating actual good teams down the stretch that season. Then last year they collapsed under the weight of expectations and have spiraled even further this season. Now they look completely lost and can't do anything right. This is the risk you take by pinning your hopes to a bunch of kids that are forced to develop together without any real veterans to learn from. There's talent/potential here, but Adams has totally bungled it by doing next to nothing the last two offseasons. Just keep running it back without any significant enhancements to the roster. Bravo.
