  1. If he makes it 10 games after his return I will be flabbergasted.
  2. Terry's too busy trying to find Penn State's next HC to hear those chants.
  3. I will never get past my bitterness for that "search." There was a plethora of really good options available and Kevyn did the easiest, laziest hire without putting forth any actual effort to go get any of them. I'm sure it was largely Terry-driven because the big dope thought nostalgia was JUST WHAT WE NEED! But regardless, a good GM could see that was a lazy, uninspired hire and told Terry he could do better. But we have a jellyfish as our GM so here we are...3 games into year two and it looks pretty damn untenable. This organization needs an enema.
  4. Maybe they'll get an Uncle Terry Pep Talk™ during the Bills bye week.
  5. Fire Ruff and the other clowns on the bench, go get DeBoer or Gallant. Do whatever it takes to get an established coach with a strong resume. No more promoting from within or mediocre retreads. Hell, get Boudreau. He may not be a long term answer but he has a track record of quick turnaround and can start moving things in the right direction.
  6. I feel like a Broken record airing my Adams grievances, but give me a break; it's cathartic. 1) His entire plan since he took over was to build through the draft. Problem with that is 18 year old kids take several years to develop and inherently a good chunk of those picks are going to top out at AHL or JAG level. This is a foolish plan. 2) He blew a pretty decent opportunity to ride some momentum in the summer of 2023. The 22/23 Sabres finished very strong and most of our young core had really good/breakout seasons. We needed a couple of more good vets and a goalie and MAYBE they get over the playoff hump in 2024. Instead, Kevyn put all of his eggs in the Levi/UPL basket and his big additions to the roster were Connor Clifton, Erik Johnson, and Comrie. The young guys regress almost across the board, Levi isn't ready, the new additions add almost nothing. Again, his entire strategy is built around the younger guys getting better. They didn't. This was a huge missed opportunity. 3) 2023/24 goes tits up and his idea of getting a retread coach who has been a mixed bag the previous decade because...he was good here 15 years ago? Then he saddles the coach with mostly the same giggle ***** assistants the previous guy had. Oh, and brought up the AHL coach. 4) Late in the 2024 season, one of the supposed building blocks has regressed badly but still should have promise to another team. He trades him for...a guy that can't stay healthy to save his life. That guy plays 3 whole games and gets hurt AGAIN. 5) Summer 2025, same *****. Doesn't make any significant moves, just runs it back in the desperate hope the core gets better, trades away one of our best young goal scorers, and hangs his hopes that his fragile center he traded for can finally stay healthy. He gets hurt before the first game is over. Kevyn Adams is arguably the worst GM in sports. The proof is in the pudding. This team is poorly coached, lacks talent, and is going nowhere. I'm sorry, but it is hopeless until they get some real hockey people in here to fix this mess.
  7. Kevyn thinks he's the smartest guy in the room, that's the problem. He was convinced (and apparently still is) that he could build a championship roster by stockpiling prospects and waiting for them to develop. Problem with that is it takes years and inherently a large sum of those prospects won't "hit." He's still married to the notion that "his guys" should be enough, we just need patience. There's also the fact that he seems to have accepted that Buffalo is not an attractive destination for FAs, so why even try? I won't argue that the first part isn't right, but I do not want the GM accepting that. Get a guy in here that is a good enough salesman and has enough balls, that he can sell FAs on a plan and maybe snag a couple of them. And I'm not talking about Zuckers, who while a nice player and a good guy to have around, is not transformative to a roster that needs transformative guys. Adams is an abjectively failed GM and any serious hockey organization would have already moved on.
  8. I hope you're right but I don't think Terry is that in the trenches.
  9. Are there people here saying Kevyn shouldn't be fired? Because I'm not seeing it. What I am seeing is that Adams won't be fired because Terry doesn't give enough of a ***** to do it. I think Adams should have been fired during the 13 game losing streak. Instead they got a pep talk from Terry and a day off and the band plays on. It's wash, rinse, repeat.
  10. They aren't firing Appert. He's the HC in waiting.
  11. Coming into the season this disjointed is a direct result of the head coach and his gaggle of scrub assistants. I was actually offended by last summer's "coaching search." It was clear Adams, probably under Darth Terry's direction, zeroed in on Lindy without even considering anybody else hoping the nostalgia would satisfy the fanbase. It was a lazy and uninspired hire. Then they saddle him with detritus for an assistant staff. On top of all of this is was a bad hire. Lindy was a good coach 20 years ago. He's been a mixed bag since leaving Buffalo the first time and has failed with better rosters in Dallas and NJ. Bottom line, this organization isn't serious about icing a contender. Adams is a failed GM who would have already been fired almost anywhere else. He keeps his job because he will do Terry's bidding and Terry doesn't give a damn about the Sabres as long as the Bills are successful. Until Terry is insulated from hockey ops by a POHO that knows WTF he's doing, it will be and endless cycle of missing the playoffs and doing nothing to really get better. I hate this *****.
  12. Probably not, but money talks. At least try this time instead of that BS last summer after they fired Granato. Adams wouldn't be able to get them because he's a feckless cockroach, but maybe Jarmo could.
  13. They play hard, I'll give them that but they aren't any good. Another horrific failure by the GM to improve the roster The coaching staff has carved out no offensive identity. We just skate around and cannot generate hardly any shots. This team stinks. I know it's just 2 games but this is the same ***** we've seen for a decade and a half. Fire Adams. Fire Ruff and his lousy assistants. Let Jarmo GM for the rest of the year. Do whatever it takes to bring in DeBoer or Gallant to coach these bums. I'm ***** tired of ***** hockey.
  14. Have these guys had an extended possession in the Bruins zone tonight?
