Probably not, but they have a better shot now. They have 2 elite forwards in Kaprizov and Boldy. A solid D-corps led by Faber and now Quinn. Elite goaltending. They're weak down the middle, but a strong blue line and elite goaltending can make up for a lot.

Want no part of that player or contract. Immensely skilled, but fragile mentally, and prone to sulking. That's the LAST thing this outfit needs. Good for Minnesota. Great hockey market, glad to see them do well. They seem to be coming out the other side of the Parisi/Suter buyouts just fine and didn't have to tank to do it. Shows what can be done with a competent GM.

Continuing to play guys like Timmons, Greenway is why this outfit hasn't made the playoffs in 14, soon to be 15, years. Timmons is a bum, Greenway seems to do more harm than good. There's several others, but they stand out in my mind right now. Everytime Timmons is on the ice, my shoulders slump because I expect them to give up a goal.

Yeah, I tend to agree; Norris should never have been considered due to his injury history. The most important ability is availability, and Norris has very, very little of that. They could have got a less skilled player than Norris who could at least contribute something.
