  1. Nike ballcap, Yankees.
  2. If they spend to the cap I'll eat my hat.
  3. If JJP didn't want to be here, then yeah, get rid of him. I don't have a problem with either player that came back, just feels like it should've been more. But it's Adams, so I guess we should just be happy he didn't screw up worse.
  4. Two "decent" players but do not see how this makes us better. Guess I'll wait to see what else happens this summer to get a total picture to judge. Initial reaction is... underwhelmed.
  5. Vancouver is a dumpster fire.
  6. VAN is taking on the full salary.
  7. Adams loves his prospects. He's making the pick.
  8. Going home. That's cool for him and the Jets.
  9. Dahlin, Tage, Tuch. That's...about it. I'm all outta hope. This is a poorly constructed roster and (mostly) the same group isn't going to suddenly become a good hockey team at this point. They are what they are. The only path I see to improvement is that Jarmo has more say in the roster construction and HE is at the head of some moves this summer. There is talent here, has been for a couple of years; we need to move out some of the redundant pieces and get some good veteran players in here that better complement our current core. Maybe JJP is the first piece to start that process, but it sucks losing a young wing who appears to be on track to becoming a near ppg player.
  10. Draisaitl is something else, man. I'd take him over Auston Matthews without a moment's hesitation.
  11. Unless any draft pick received is intended to be part of a package to add good, NHL-ready players, ***** all the way off.
  12. Seems about right. Good season for Rasmus. If only he had more help.
  13. Yeah, there's a coaching problem. "Accountability" was the buzz word after Lindy was hired, we saw none of that. The team had the same issues that the previous coach oversaw. Is it all Lindy's fault? Nah. The roster is very clearly flawed. But do I think Lindy helped? Also no. I never say how bringing in a retread coach with a spotty record in the years before his hire was going to move the team forward. It was the laziest "coaching search" outside of just promoting another assistant I've seen. You cannot convince me hiring Lindy wasn't done with the hopes nostalgia would be enough to pacify the fanbase. And we will very probably just get that next year with Appert. This isn't a serious hockey organization.
  14. The Oilers have 2 of the best 5 players on the planet and have assembled a solid, cohesive supporting cast around them. They understood the assignment. Only question is will Skinner hold up.
