This is a seriously flawed roster, but there's talent. Do you think the Flyers have a roster that much better than ours? They don't. They hired a good coach and he's maximizing the talent they do have. Lindy was a good coach 15-20 years ago. Since leaving the Sabres in 2013 he's a roughly 84 point/season coach who has made the playoffs 3 times in 12 (will be 13) seasons. He is objectively not a good coach. Only Kevyn Adams thought hiring him was a good idea and that's only because it was easy and he had some moronic notion that nostalgia would equal wins This team needs help roster-wise, sure; but more than that it needs an actual NHL coaching staff. And an actual NHL GM. And an owner that gives a frick about winning.

Flyers hire a real coach and suddenly they're a pretty damn good team. We hire Lindy, who let's be honest, is basically an animatronic bologna sandwich at this stage in his career, and we continue to suck. I'll say for the 100th time, this entire organization needs an enema from the top down, and until they do it nothing will change. Instead, Adams will probably get kicked (promoted) upstairs, Lindy to an advisor position, and Seth "the Hairdo" Appert promoted to HC because this is not a serious organization. FML
