Cozens is still learning and being coached. It would be irresponsible to just throw in the towel on the PK this early in his career. He can be a PK stalwart for years if he's given some rope.

Read a rumour a few minutes ago about a proposed trade with the Flames: Kadri for Krebs, Rosen and our 2025 1st round pick. The Flames would retain $2 million of his $7 million cap hit. He would have to waive his no trade. I don't know if this is real, but I think I would pull the trigger on it. Whaddya think?

I think it's just that KA is holding his cards for now - it's a long season and there may be better players available at some point. Be patient and make the right deal.

But isn't it a case of our roster is the youngest in the NHL, so many haven't hit their big contracts yet? In my mind it's not "cheap", but just a reflection of where our developing roster is at. I have no doubt TP will be spending big bucks down the road as appropriate.

If there weren't great deals to be had, so be it. It's worse to make a bad deal that will impact the team for years. And we can certainly do something during the season if a more reasonable situation comes up. I don't get the hand-wringing.

I think he decided correctly to not crash the party. And have to listen to the booing.

But obviously we're built to start winning when our young core continues to mature. It's not about our record to this point with the trades, it's what will happen in the coming years.

The Canucks love Joshua, but don't want to overpay on a player looking for his first and likely only big contract so will likely move on from the player. If Buffalo wants him, they'll have to overpay as well. Do we really want to?
