  1. I was focused on the Bills. Why is Marty doing color?
  2. He was called up an hour ago and RyJo was sent down.
  3. To me, Tage will always have a role on this team. But the ship has sailed as the cornerstone “guy.” He is a nice piece. A great piece. Maybe an all star if he’s healthy all year. But he is not the elite driver of a team. The Sabres need to keep looking. The same for Tuch. He’s probably a top six winger, but he is not a RW1. Probably a solid WR2, but he’s not a top line forward on a good team.
  4. Can we do another one one of those “will the Sabres make the playoffs” polls because I am feeling pretty confident in my choice.
  5. The Amerks are up 7-2 on the road and are two minutes away from their fourth straight win (Sandstrom played tonight).
  6. I understand what you’re saying, but his absence on his line that created a goal the very next shift is equally noticeable.
  7. I was as anti UPL as anyone here, but he’s continuing to prove me wrong. And he’s having himself a game tonight!
  8. FIRST shift with Cozens in the box and Benson/Kulich get to play with Tage. Goal. Cozens is an anchor to anything involving offense.
  9. Greenway a game time decision. UPL in the starter’s net for the morning skate (per Lance via Bluesky).
  10. I haven’t seen the team in person in December, but Oct & Nov I would say finding his way. Some games he’s a ball of fire, others he’s banged around easily. Needs to toughen up a bit. Very speedy.
  11. The Amerks are still behind the eight-ball in points percentage, but they’re back in third place for now. Levi has been a huge help since his re-assignment. ROC has won three in a row and 6-3-1 in their last ten. Levi this season so far in the AHL: 7-1-1, 2.08 GAA, .916%.
  12. Never knew TP grew up a Lions fan
  13. https://theahl.com/news/sit-down-with-amerks-jobst Video interview with the Captain
  14. Posting again because why not?
  15. lol why would the oilers do this to move the best nhl player since Gretzky? Give me a break.
  16. “We’ve had some injuries and a new system to adapt to, but I believe in this group.” ”Look, trades are hard to make in this league. I’m trying to make this team better every day.” While I respect the guy for not making a completely lopsided trade for some washed veteran like Kadri…if he doesn’t make a move by Xmas, he’s going to lose his job when the Sabres miss the playoffs. His time is ticking.
  17. Also, Muel & Greenway are on the ice for the morning skate. They probably won’t play, but good news on Greener
  18. Eric Comrie revenge game incoming
  19. 7th rounder from 2021. This is his third year in Rochester. A great energy guy at the AHL level. Fun fact, he scored five goals in each of his first two seasons. This season, he’s got five goals in 14 games. I’m a little surprised Kozak got the call, but I suspect the Sabres want a guy who is accustomed to a bottom six role I guess? Either that or they’re rewarding the hardest working guy on the team for that work. BTW, Rosen scored and it is 1-0 Amerks.
  20. I knew he was a fraud when he strutted around like a peacock flashing its plumage in this t-shirt. And of course they lost that week. Mr capri pants is 3-14 against teams above .500. Glad to have him in the AFC East.
  21. A very mid complaint. I like turkey just fine, but there are better options. Let’s start a strip steak revolution!
  22. Bonaire is a Caribbean island in the Leeward Antilles, and is a special municipality (officially "public body") of the Netherlands. Its capital is the port of Kralendijk, on the west (leeward) coast of the island. Not sure they play a lot of hockey there to uncover top six scorer, but get it done KA.
  23. https://www.nhl.com/news/nhl-edge-stats-defenseman-trio-elevating-buffalo-sabres-into-contention “The Sabres are tied for third in defenseman goals (14) behind the Edmonton Oilers and Seattle Kraken (15 each). They also rank among the leaders in high-danger shots on goal (19 tied for third).” “As a team, Buffalo has the 10th best shot attempts percentage at 5-on-5 (51.6) in the League, a strong indicator of a team’s playoff chances.” ”After two combinations of Avalanche defenseman trios (49 and 48 points) involving Cale Makar, the NHL’s points leader at the position (30 in 22 games), the Sabres have the next-highest scoring trio at the position in the League (47 points).” My hot take is this is what KA envisioned when he moved Mitts. Being offensively elite at the blue line and driving offense from the D. This is how Buffalo can be a problem for the league. And the best part is Dahlin is only 24, Power is only 22, and Byram is just 23. These guys haven’t even fully matured yet.
